Backed a horse this morning £25 at 4.5 for a night race tonight.

2 horses pulled out so I traded at 3.2 to get my stake back but leave a free bet on the horse by clicking on the green amount when it was around the £30 mark but with the 'green up' unchecked.

This resulted in green under my horse £30 and zero's under all the others and my stake back in the bank - so far so good but bare with me....

Later I checked the 'green up' option and decided to take that as it showed guaranteed returns of a tenner no matter the result.

However, after clicking to green up Bet Angel then put me in green for any result apart from my horse winning which was showing 23.50 red, all the others 9.79 green.

I logged into betfair to see if it was an error with bet angel but the website showed the same. As I believe its got a good chance I really didn't want to leave it like that so I've just hit the green up again and now I am 78p in the red whatever the result.

How did I manage to turn a winning movement into a loss ?

Put your bets up on this thread and somebody will be able to confirm what you have done.

You backed at 4.6 with 25 and laid at 3.35 with 25 for a non green of £31.25

You then greened out for a net £9.05.

But for some reason ten minutes later you reversed that green out by backing at 3.25 with 9.29 so you will be 20% out on the green. You should still be able click green and green up again.

You may still have the log available in Bet Angel, that may explain in better detail what you clicked etc.

That looks as though his original back of 4.6 became 3.39 after Rule 4 on the withdrawals, so £25 layed at 3.35 only produced a profit of £1
