A pound or two to see what happens shouldn't break the bank? Coming up with a decent strategy costs money so earmark an R&D fund otherwise it will feel like loses rather than inevitable costs. TakeSP undoubtedly works, I do 2 or 300 a day and there's never a need to resort to SP bets you can't cancel. Maybe posting your log or screenshots would be more informative?

I know Shawn, I'm just kidding. I know it works in live mode, but I'm trying to figure out why it doesn't work in practice mode, plus I'm on version 1.59.1 that's why I wanted to see maybe Dallas knows something. I don't know what I could add to what I've already described .ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Mon Jul 11, 2022 8:06 pmA pound or two to see what happens shouldn't break the bank? If you're in practice mode with Guardian then on the Advanced tab check the box for "export reports on market closure".
Click on "Explore reports folder" and when the market is closed by BF you will find all the details in the MatchedBets folder for that date.

The bets I placed at SP appear marked as SP bets in the exported reports but with zero stake and zero odds.foxwood wrote: ↑Mon Jul 11, 2022 9:31 pmIf you're in practice mode with Guardian then on the Advanced tab check the box for "export reports on market closure".

Try the bot on horse racing and see what happens.Inforaquid wrote: ↑Mon Jul 11, 2022 7:18 pmYes, the bets were changing status to take sp according to the log and automation trigger counter, but I did as Crazyskier suggested and placed the bets directly at SP, I have all greyhounds races for today in Guardian at refresh rates of 20ms restricted to only the last two minutes before each race.
When using the 'Place Back SP bet' and 'Place Lay SP bet' these go into Betfairs pool of SP, but in practice mode you don't actual send the bets so there is nothing for Bet Angel to display when the SP is reconciledInforaquid wrote: ↑Mon Jul 11, 2022 8:30 pmI know Shawn, I'm just kidding. When using the original ' Take SP on unmatched bets' rule it tries to match you at the SP price and just like regular bets in practice mode the matching process is simulated

Yes, I think I understand how the mechanism works but on horse racing you can simulate bets placed at SP, of course in the matched bets section they appear as zero until the SP is known then they look like matched at SP, which is not the case on dogs. Apparently betangel doesn't know what the SP is on dog racing. I think it has to do with the fact that dog races remain suspended after turning in-play.Dallas wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 11:10 amWhen using the 'Place Back SP bet' and 'Place Lay SP bet' these go into Betfairs pool of SP, but in practice mode you don't actual send the bets so there is nothing for Bet Angel to display when the SP is reconciledInforaquid wrote: ↑Mon Jul 11, 2022 8:30 pmI know Shawn, I'm just kidding. Yes, you are correct on why it behaves differently on horse racing markets as its able to retrieve the reconciled SP while its in-runningInforaquid wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 11:56 amYes, I think I understand how the mechanism works but on horse racing you can simulate bets placed at SP, of course in the matched bets section they appear as zero until the SP is known then they look like matched at SP, which is not the case on dogs. But I'm just reading back through the topic and saw your screenshot, can you confirm if its the 'Place SP Back Bet' and 'Place SP Lay bet' rules you are using?
I haven't tried it in PM since the days of testing but from memory in Greyhound markets you should just see the 'Awaiting SP' on your matched bets page and odds/stake columns should be blank on greyhound markets - but your screenshot isn't showing this how I remembered it to be?
Horse racing should of course show as SP and update the odds/stake columns once in-running

Yes, the bets were placed at SP. The matched bets section looks different than you remember when 'Average odds' is ticked, and if it is not ticked then it shows blank spaces for odds and stake and the SP bet column shows 'Awaiting SP' even after the race is finished.Dallas wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 2:10 pmYes, you are correct on why it behaves differently on horse racing markets as its able to retrieve the reconciled SP while its in-runningInforaquid wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 11:56 amYes, I think I understand how the mechanism works but on horse racing you can simulate bets placed at SP, of course in the matched bets section they appear as zero until the SP is known then they look like matched at SP, which is not the case on dogs. I take it you can't get the SP for dog racing in practice mode?
Ah yes never thought about the average odds being on/off there's something new I've learned from thisInforaquid wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 2:47 pmYes, the bets were placed at SP. But basically yes Its only those markets which go in-play when the SP can be retrieved or at least thats the way I believe it was from memory, in live markets its the bet itself that gets updated and subsequently the matched bets screen (which of course a bet isn't sent in PM)

Too bad, it's not a hard thing to do, SP could be sent the same way it's done with winner status and why not other useful race stats.
