Nadhim Zahawi would ‘certainly’ give Boris Johnson job in cabinet.
Good grief! Does he not see the unacceptability of being part of deposing your boss and then giving him a cabinet post.
I think this is the problem with long tenures in power, incumbent govt MP's think they can do anything. Well, you can't. A lot of people are uninterested in politics but I would suggest a majority certainly are. And a minority have the influence to do something about their grievances over and above 1 man 1 vote.
On a different note, would you trust anything YouGov comes up with when Zahawi was a co-founder.
Next Prime Minister / Tory Party Leader

I think Penny stole the show with her line:

I believe so (willing to have my memory corrected).
He of the "short sharp shock" for young offenders that achieved nothing other than fitter, more informed offenders.
Ah, I remember the short sharp shock. I was quite young at the time and took it literally - electric shock punishment.greenmark wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 6:55 pmI believe so (willing to have my memory corrected).Derek27 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 6:23 pmWho was she talking about? Well, at least we can carry on cracking jokes about him. I didn't get Starmer's joke today but it got a few laughs and glum faces from the other side so I must have been good.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 7:19 pmA couple of senior MP's hinted that he may be offered a position in Government.

Interesting watching Peston and listening to Steve Baker. He says internal treasury documents and the office for budget responsibility state that the welfare state will collapse by 2040.
That’s rather worrying.

He was having a go at the current chancellor who allegedly benefits from a £100m offshore trust & javid - the bus drivers son - who had non-dom status as well as the ex-chancellor...Derek27 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 9:03 pmWell, at least we can carry on cracking jokes about him. I was more amused that the PM4PM website was registered in 2019, Penny(?) also registered NZ4PM so that site directs you to hers, also registered suellas.
Must have been a right Thick of IT moment in campaign HQs when they discovered that..
