Not being effected by the changes is missing the point.
The NOTW phone hacking allegations do not effect me, but I won't be buying the NOTW or The Sun again. If any of you have any ambition of making money out of betting you seriously need to consider moving to Betdaq where possible. If you are happy to lose or have no ambition of being successful, then I respectfully suggest you quit betting and invest the money in something else.
Will Betdaq have the same problems as Betfaie in the future? Yes, of course. But Betfair is a company in decline for sure, the lack an understanding of what their customers want, and why they went there in the first place. I am hoping that Betdaq will see what a horlicks Bf has made and avoid making the same mistake.
lets move to Betdaq
You will be interested to know that despite all the fuss around the PC and the fact we have free software available already for Betdaq, we have seen very little increase in Betdaq registrations, but Betfair registrations are as strong as ever.................................................................................
That does not surprise me, I put a thread up on the forum a few days about possible donations to the betangel for betdaq development and not one person apart from myself stated they would be willing to donate.
After all the moaning and groaning from people here and other forums about pc2, and the amounts of money some people make here I was disgusted that no one was willing to put there money where the mouths were, its pc1 all over again, greed rules, its a real shame, on another forum where its the same when traders were asked to donate a lot of them kicked up a fuss about it, pure greed in my eyes and really put me off contributing to the forums as its not really the the type of people I want to be talking to, especially the sorts of money some of the pro traders make.

For the record i would be very happy to pay for BA for Betdaq, I am sure all the other serious users would too.
Don't compare GT with Bet Angel, Bet Angel is and always has been a commercial operation, PW started the company to develop the software for his own needs, that is well documented. The profits are used for development.
There are some strange goings on at GT. Donations are a non starter.
Anyway, like I said a few weeks back. Bet Angel has turned into "Fat Old Lady".Hate to see BQ version go that way. Betdaq is very usable as it is. I would like to see amounted matched in the ladders as in BF version, apart from that I am happy with it as it is is.

Anyone who has the attitude that it does not effect me ,
so therfore i will not do anything about it is lacking ambition imo.
Clearly It make no difference to the people loseing money, they can lose that anyware is see that.
but if they ever want to be winners, which most i assume do, then they have to think ahead abit.
Don't just fixate on the 250,000, cos thats just the begining im sure, it could be 10k in a few years time for all we know.
It mystifies me it really does
,
but then again ive never really understood why people use the bookies either, but millions do every day.

Mugsgame,
In no way shape or form was I making comparisons between GT and Betangel, I was merely referring to traders attitudes and I thought I made that pretty clear, sorry if you misunderstood, as for Donations being a non starter? really? I was willing to make a donation, so I don't see it as a non starter.

Peter, have you guys thought about sending a questionnaire to all your registered customers?Bet Angel wrote: You will be interested to know that despite all the fuss around the PC and the fact we have free software available already for Betdaq, we have seen very little increase in Betdaq registrations, but Betfair registrations are as strong as ever.
See how many respond with answers to whether they feel BF's new PC affects them at all?, if so what they plan to do about it? Whether they have tried BA for BD?, if not - why not? If they have tried it, what improvements are needed?, and would they be prepared to pay for it?

What about keep bets & take SP (a Betfair feature that would be sorely missed IMHO)? And then there is the Excel feature that needs bringing up to speed. Not to mention the minimum bet size on the Betdaq side - essential for beginners and small traders.freddy wrote:pt9091 wrote:Market depth, amounts matched , apart from that nothing else for me
Oh i see,
im trading on Betdaq, but using all the info i need from Betfair, so i have not missed anything really.
I'm sure there are more.
Maybe we should have a Betdaq wishlist thread?

This is a cracking suggestion for the BA guys Le Tiss
There are some things we can do but other things that are not available on Betdaq are a touch difficult to implement!MarketTrader wrote:What about keep bets & take SP (a Betfair feature that would be sorely missed IMHO)? At the end of the day we will take lead from the community which is what we have always done in the past. We always have to balance resources unfortunately, as we can't get people to work for free, everybody needs a pay off at some point.
You can always be assured we are doing what we can in the background to achieve the best result for our customers.
