Hi Everyone and please excuse the stupid question but i cant find the answer to this and i'm sure its the most simple of things.
Ok so ive been playing with horse automation for a while with varying degrees of success and now i want to look at automating some football strategies. The Betfair front end is easy to work around as I've come from matched betting and my horse strategies are all pre-off.
Where do I tell my automation rule that I want to target say the "UNDER 2.5 GOALS" market or the over 2.0 goals etc?
Its just got me scratching my head. Oh and if I want to target into the future (say 1 week ) do I set "always armed" in the "rule trigger times"
Im sure the answers are in front of me but I just cant figure them out.
Ive downloaded the "under 1.5 goal trader" and "back u2.5 - green 10 mins" baf files and they are not really helping.
Im sure the answers are in front of me but I just cant figure them out.
Many thanks and sorry for the silly question.
How do you select a market type
In football markets selections are always in the same Betfair order for every fixture
So, Unders are always in row 1, and Overs always in row 2
So when creating a rule to trigger on either you just apply it the Selection in 'Row 1 (Betfair Order)' (or Row 2)
https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/app ... tions.html
Setting it to 'always armed' means it will trigger as soon as your condition/s are met, if you don't want it to trigger until say 2hrs before a match starts then you'd use 'Relevent to Event Start time'

Thanks for the fast response Dallas you are amazing. I found the rules section in the manual and in fact use that often with my pre-off horses. Maybe at the next re-write of the manual that would be a good addition.
Ok so I have attached the Everton v Liverpool match for tomorrow.
So I must be looking at the wrong area for the "UNDERS" to be in row one and the overs to be in row two.
Sorry but this isnt clear to me. Are you saying there is another list where this is the case and If I select applies to selection "in row 1" as I would the fav in horses that this is selecting the "UNDERS" and if this is the case how do I then specify lets say the under 4.5 goals as an example.
Many thanks

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
If you select any of the over/under football markets either in that market tree on Betfair, or in Bet Angel you'll see Unders always appears first then Overs are in the second rowdidsy wrote: ↑Fri Sep 02, 2022 3:48 pmThanks for the fast response Dallas you are amazing. To apply a rule to under 4.5 you'd select the over/under 4.5 market and apply your automation file to it
and that automation file would contain a rule applied to 'Row 1 (in Betfair Order)'
Many thanks Dallas, got it now. Ive found the filter feature in Guardian.
I mistakenly thought it was a selection that needed to be made within the rule not a selection made in Guardian FOR the rule.
Doh
Every day is a learning experience.
Thank you
