Ukraine currently has 26 HIMARS Advanced Rocket Systems and the New York Times is quoting they about to receive 24 more plus $650 million worth of further military equipment.
Looks like Ukraine will be ramping things up big time.

What most people don’t know is that so far Ukraine has signed up over 400,000 people to their armed forces. Slowly they being deployed after receiving training from UK, USA and German instructors and latest western kit. Their aim is to sign up another 500,000.
That will be a bloody big well trained and kitted out force.
I hope the UK never pisses them off as we be wiped off the map in days.
Only joking.
What a far cry from 2014 when Russia just walked in and took Crimea so easily.
Really pleased Ukraine is now able to kick some Russian arse. But they need to remember to play by international laws. Hope they do.

Analysis by Orla Guerin, Senior International Correspondent in central Ukraine
The pace of the counter-offensive has not only caught the Russians off guard, but even surprised some Ukrainians. People here have been struggling to keep up with news of the latest gains.
The Russians have now lost two key logistics hubs - the railway cities of Izyum and Kupiansk. This is a military setback and a public humiliation for President Putin.
We cannot reach the frontlines. Journalists have been denied access. Ukraine is determined to control the information war. But plenty of footage has emerged on social media showing Ukrainian troops raising their flag in newly liberated areas.
All of this is cathartic for Ukraine and reassuring for its Western backers.
The Russians still hold around a fifth of the country and few imagine a swift end to the war. But the Ukrainians have now shown they can beat the Russians in battle, not just outmanoeuvre them. According to one military expert, it's the first time since World War Two that whole Russian units have been lost.
If we put Nuclear weapons to one side for a minute, can you imagine the devastation NATO would cause on Russia in a non Nuclear War. The world and the Russian people have been told a complete lie about Russia military. They are not a superpower, if they were then the 800+ fighter jets they had could have totally destroyed Ukraine in a heartbeat on their own. Its all been a total lie.
To Putin, if your listening, sooner or later the Russian people or FSB are going to remove you and send you to a Siberian 4 by 4 bunker with limited oxygen, if your lucky.

That's all you have to know about public information cover of this strange conflict... It's information warfare, "narrative" warfare.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 1:18 amAnalysis by Orla Guerin, Senior International Correspondent in central Ukraine

Just think, right before important nato meeting! Open your wallets, gentlemen....and reassuring for its Western backers.
Any signs of Putin losing support?
I see lawmakers from Moscow and St. Petersburg are calling for his head : https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/20 ... nsure-war/

Putin will be fine as long as he still has the support of the FSB top people. If he loses that then they could remove him very quickly by arrest or something more sinister.Kai wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 12:04 pmAny signs of Putin losing support?
