Question for the experts:

Why is Russia allowed to launch missiles into Ukraine but nobody wants to give Ukraine the ability to launch missiles into Russia.

Hardly seems fair to me ? 😣
Me neither, but I'd assume the risk of escalation due to NATO involvement.

MY worry now is having the Putin bear backed into a corner. A man with nothing more to lose, with his finger on nukes is a scary proposition.
Assuming the button and Nukes work. 🤣

However bad the infantry, and other ground troops are, I'm pretty sure the nukes will be viable :(

Ukraine forces are now moving onto the Donbas region, which is where the majority of Russian troops are. If (Big If) they manage to force them to retreat there then Putin will only have 2 options. Request a negotiated settlement or the unthinkable and press that button. Given Zelensky wants all Russian troops out of all of Ukraine then I fear it will be the later option.

My hope is that is starts going south for Putin pretty quickly, and there's a coup before he can do anything stupid.

They left a staggering amount of heavy equipment and vehicles behind, it's the only way that most of them could escape the encirclement. Ukraine only has to spray a white cross symbol on it to replace the Z markings and it's ready for use.

Zelensky says he has special plans for Crimea.

O dear, as much as I admire him, I hope he knows what he is doing and the USA and NATO are fully briefed and onside with his plans.

Looks like the U.S. Senate wants to designate Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism, despite Biden opposing the idea

Would be long overdue, they keep hitting civilian infrastructure daily now. While Zelensky is busy getting into car accidents as he visits newly liberated areas like Izium his counterpart keeps hiding behind an obnoxiously long desk, a stark difference between leadership and cowardice.

Once things are sorted out and Ukraine addresses some internal issues then it would be a big addition to the NATO club. :) That would send shockwaves through Russia. :)

Hadn't thought of that TBH. If Putin stops at the Donbas, all he's achieved is a sliver of land (now in rubble) for ethinc Russians, but also galvanised unin between Ukraine and NATO. The total opposite of one of his stated objectives. Let's hope Xi talks some sense into him. :|

I would suggest that applies to some Russians, not all by any means. But I take your point. Xi must be enjoying this. A world player less popular than China with the West. Hell, Xi might even emerge as the ultimate mediator. Er.... well I can dream anyhow.

Xi and Putin are probably high fiving each other as we speak. China crippled the world by releasing Corona virus from a lab and Russia distract the world by invading Ukraine even though the real goal was to see energy prices go through the roof across the West.

Obviously I say all that tongue in cheek, or do I?! :D
