Random Amounts in the Ladders/Matched Amounts

Is anyone else seeing incorrect data being returned for the amounts in the back/lay columns and the traded amount columns.

This seems to be happening every now and again and only lasts for a bout a second so it is like incorrect data is being received on one of the data calls?

Can't say I've seen anything at the moment, though Redcar was spectaculary jumpy as was the first at Newmarket. The only random thing at this stage is my P&L!

When I say random amounts I mean at times tens of thousands appear in the columns and not just at one price but the whole way down the market depth. Other times it is much less but they appear all the way down the market depth for a second then all vanish. They only appear for a second or less.

I've seen 'ghost' amounts before, where cash appears and then disappears in the columns for less than half a second (and hasn't been matched.) Damn comfusing!

newmarket 15:45 just happend both sides of book about 15:36.

We've seen this happen a number of times this afternoon. Betfair updated their API on Wednesday as they wanted to improve the performance of full market depth & volume and we suspect they're caching the data in some way.

Hopefully they'll rollback to the previous API build soon as we've never had a performance problem in this area of the API and would much prefer a reliable service.

I never seen this happen this afternoon, I'm still running on v1.22.0, is it possible it could be the new version? Though the changes in the new version seem limited, so unlikely I guess.

Looking at the 3pm Newmarket race and same thing happening now, every 5 minutes or so the matched amounts and both sides of the book inflate by thousands then disappear in a couple of seconds?

I would say it is because of what is happening in the link I posted above. The API is already running poorly and we are an hour out from K.O.

Just wanted to check people are still experiencing this problem? Happened to me yesterday where both sides of book (at every price displayed) inflate massively for 2-3 seconds then revert, same thing was happening on the matched amounts? Is this still the same problem as Andy pointed out previously or is it a consequence of the Saturday API issues? Given the impact this has on my screen and the indicators to WOM/trading range/resistance levels etc I'm surprised more people aren't posting?

I experienced the same occurance, just throws me out of my stride & confuses me. Havnt a clue what cuases it though, its just a pain in the a***

This was happening quite alot to me today actually, which was prety off putting...is this betfairs fault or is it bet angel?

Betfair issue again I am afraid. We have sent them a video and detailed descriptions, they seemed to indicate it was a international issue but it seems to be occuring with everybody.

We are waiting to see if this will be fixed independantly of the other API problems but we are being offered no clear guidance at the moment.
