No mention about furlongs until your post just now, but there's no way of knowing how many furlongs has been covered unless just estimating it with a set of standard times or have a TPD subscription which would give you the race distance a horse has covered in meters on the courses it supports - which could then be converted into furlongs

Suggest you attach your .baf rulesfile here so we can understand what you are trying to do, and perhaps someone will fix it for you.
