Certainly is. When you keep hearing phrases like " to maintain financial stability " its not good

Kwarteng says: "The medium term fiscal plan is coming out on 31 October and I'm not going to pre-judge any measures in it".
Surely he means not reveal measures in it? He knows the the content so doesn't have to pre-judge anything.
Meantime in the information vacuum the BOE has to intervene again to prop up bonds, the pound falls and govt borrowing costs are at post mini-budget levels. Good grief!

Recent events which accelerated us towards the planned demolition of the financial system are a genius way of reaching global sustainability goals whilst also resetting the unsustainable debt bubble.

What better way to change the behaviour of the population than by making them think twice about their consumption; heating, food, fuel, holidays...

The best part is that most will believe it was an accident... a virus... or a Russian.

Truss is not going to cut public spending but will reduce the debt by "spending public money well".

The rumour is they won't cut but won't increase budgets in line with rising costs, thereby achieving cuts in real terms.
The other thing that strikes me is how the grand reveal on 31st october is leaking out bit by bit. Why don't they just do it now and douse all the damaging speculation? It's baffling.

Truss just told parliament she has taken "decisive action" so no need to worry ;)

"The Chief Secretary to the Treasury Chris Philp says there are no plans for "real-terms cuts" in government spending."

How on earth are they going to pull this off?

I'm not gonna make twice as much money this week, but I'll make sure I win it twice as well!

He means there will be real-term cuts, they just won't be planned!

When the Tories got into power they blamed Labour for excessive spending. Who are they blaming now?

Isn't that how politics usually go? :)

The new regimes blame existing issues on the old regimes with promises to fix them, then the next regime does the same and this cycle repeats into infinity.

They are still blaming Labour for the state of the economy, and they have been in power for the last 12 years !!
