In a BBC article about Jamie Oliver's free school dinner campaign, I saw a woman serving food and picking her nose. Absolute disgrace!

So there's no energy price cap for people off-grid using heating oil, no replacement for EU farming subsidies and no more cheap red diesel, and cheap labour is hard to find. Looks like food security is on the same path as energy security.

Anecdotally, farmers used to be true blue Tories round here, not now.

Large parts of Cornwell have no gas supply and depend on diesel for central heating.

I've just been to Burger King and then ASDA, and I've come back with nothing to rant about!

Ranting about having nothing to rant about, that's top notch ranting.

I've got a rant though. I can't access my Barclaycard account. It's ridiculous. They have a consistent revenue stream to support 24/7 systems. So why can I not access my account for hours on end? Added to which, due to my own incompetence my Barclaycard is somewhere in the Royal Mail system. Should I shutdown my account until it turns up. Oh no, I can't as Barclayard is offline.

Feeling like I’ve lost my left arm. After having issues with the computer for a while I’ve finally given in to parting with it while my friend swaps out the drive.

Positive side of the situation is that I’ll only have to wait until some point tomorrow to get it back & the only cost to me is a new ssd drive.

 Oh my word, I've been there. It's an education though isn't it? Painful nonetheless.

Christmas adverts out already. I'm boycotting any shop that has a Christmas advert before mid-November.

Something that's always pissed me off but it's even more pertinent in a cost of living crisis, is the instruction preheat the oven while you prepare the vegetables!

It can take an hour to prepare the vegetables. It can take two hours and several cigarette breaks to prepare a pizza base, sauce, topping and careful arrangement of the jalapenos.

If the readers of your recipes are so stupid they can't figure out an appropriate time to preheat the oven, they're not likely to get any further than slicing a carrot!!

Thin base pizzas are the worst. 8-12 mins in a fan oven at 180. Put it on 195ish
Peek in the door at 8 mins - not done
Peek in the door at 10 mins - almost done
Peek in the door at 12 mins - 2 more mins will be perfect

....Dog wants a belly rub, ok quick belly rub for the good girl

14.7 mins AHH fuck, we're eating charcoal for dinner

I'm fed up of these constant price rises on milk, no other product is receiving this treatment (at least where I live). Does Blighty import milk?

Less than 1 year ago I was buying 4 pints at a Poundshop for a single quid.

It's one of the aspects of inflation that some people will game it to gain short term.
But capitalism wlll balance out in the end. Those profiteers need to know when to cash in, because their business model (ripping people off) is not sustainable.
