Truss has got to get a mandate, this is getting out of control.

We can’t go on like this, she is on borrowed time and she must realise this, we can’t wait until 2024.

My prediction: Truss walks late November. Sunak comes in. GE in April 2023

"Kwasi, you created the budget I wanted, you absolute tool. You're fired !"

A decent price for it. A Labour majority as moved to slight odds-against with the appointment of a new chancellor.

Kwarteng lasted 8 days longer than Iain Macleod, who died after 30 days. I guess that makes him the second shortest serving chancellor.

Boris Johnson getting credit for predicting this would happen!! Not only did Sunak predict it, half the flipping country predicted it would happen.

If there's anything to learn from this sorry saga it's that a small group of party members should never again be allowed the power to select a PM.

Alexia, can you count the number of times per minute Truss mentions "growth"?

I've just checked my phone. My Russian girlfriend was called Aleksa. It's confusing! :)

She sacks Kwarteng, says she's sorry to see him go but doesn't even explain why he was sacked. Was he a failure?

One of the most staggering political episodes in my 43 years of adult life. Black Wednesday being a distant second.

Now she's saying
"What I've done today is make sure we have economic stability,"

Is she f**king insane? She created the instability out of nothing. Good grief!

She's a bigger laughing stock than Johnson now.
