Rishi could offer BJ Foreign Secretary so he can do his Ukraine thing! one of the few things he did well.

Alec-Douglas-Home became Foreign Secretary after being PM

UK credit rating been downgraded meaning likely to default on debts.

That means borrowing just got worse and likely to mean an extra 3% interest rate on top of international rate.

Additional £30 million per £1 billion borrowed.

Fcuk sake.

The leadership contest rules are as farcical as the government. The 1922 committee has the power to make up the rules. Change the number of required noms and you change the PM. I hope they have a major overhaul of the rules once it's all over.

The fact neither Sunak nor BJ have announced their candidacy suggests it's all being thrashed out out of public view. So we will most likely get the "coronation" that so many Tories have said shouldn't happen.
Then there's the prospect that Sunak is crowned with BJ's blessing. What happens if Sunak does something BJ doesn't agree with.
Oddly, if Sunak, Hunt and BJ could find a way to work together it might be a pretty decent team. Or at least one 10 times better than the last few years and 1000 times better than Truss/Kwasi.

Sunak - PM
Hunt - Chancellor (He and Sunak are very good mates and Sunak will advise accordingly anyway)
BJ - Special ambassodor to Ukraine (You dont need to be an MP for that role, so if he gets kicked out becaise of the ongoing investigation he can still remain in that job and feed his 6/7/8 children)

I dont know why Boris should be given a 'role' in any government. He doesnt even give a shit about his own constituents who elected him. He was off sunbathing in the Caribbean during a period of economic turmoil.

Well, indeed. But the stuff the nation faces requires a united team. We just have a govt intent on infighting. The gap between the rhetoric and reality from this Tory govt (a loose description) is staggering. And it needs to change. I'm being an optimist that the next installment can do something less than more damage.
Maybe like being an England supporter. I delude myself that it can be different.

Sunak the Sensible versus Boris the Buffoon
Sunak the Steamer will run out of ticks soon if he keeps this up

I wish I worked for Betfair and had the ability to give the market selections appropriate names. I wouldn't be there long so I could do it on my last day. :D

Again, what's the reference. Posting photo's of BJ looking like a cock is trivial without some context. He's looked like a cock for years!

I expect to wake up to a day that announces Sunak as PM.
