Hi

I'm looking to implement a B2L rule whereby any back bets are cancelled after a certain amount of time after inplay.

I have tried using a Cancel bets rule but this also cancels the offset Lay bet when my back bet has been matched... The selection is based on favouritism so I guess I could cancel all unmatched bets based on selection.

However, my question would be - the does the 'Position, sorted by order of favouritism' change during the race, or is it BSP favourite?

My selections for this is based on 'Position, sorted by order of favouritism'.

Thanks
Tom

So, I've actually learnt from previous mistakes and gone and read the manual!

I can see that the favouritism is determined at the time the rule is triggered so this won't work for me.

What's the best way for me to place a Back bet with offset and stop etc. on a horse that is fav or 2nd fav (or whatever) at post time of just before inplay but then cancel the bet if it is not matched inplay after a predetermined time WITHOUT cancelling any unmatched offset lay bets?

Thanks
Tom

I've answered my own question again. Custom ranking is the way forward!

You can use the rule 'Cancel unmatched bets on selection (price dependant), rather than the 'Cancel all unmatched bets' rule
https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/rule_types.html

You can then set that to cancel just the back bets

Thanks Dallas - is it possible to only cancel back bets for the current selection? I've got a different strategy which runs sometimes for the same markets but different horses. I'm finding I'm inadvertently cancelling back bets for these as well...

Yes, you just need a condition that identifies the selection to the rule

So with your back bet in this rules file you could set a Signal on the selection (with a name of your choice)
Then on the Cancel rule you would add a 'Signal Set' condition and test if
The signal named (whatever you called it)
is set on a selection

So it will now only cancel back bets on a selection with a signal set on it (which is done by your back bet rule)

Awesome - not used signals yet but that makes sense. Thank you, very much appreciated.
