How did that happen ?
I was trading at the time and only half listening but I heard western intelligence detected a Russian aircraft landing in Iran with hundreds of millions of Euros (don't ask me how they know what was on it). It's believed it was to pay for Iranian drones and weapons. They also believe British weapons that they intercepted were on board. I'm guessing they may have captured them on the battlefield in Ukraine.
I been out of the Armed Forces for awhile now but I would have thought there is software running on those weapons (Once activated) which would be using a very high level of encryption. ie. 256 or such. I know the StarStreak anti aircraft missile uses a number of software algorithm's to avoid/ignore jamming and flares dropped by an aircraft, once locked on it wont leave the target alone.
I think it's the hardware design that they're concerned about. It Iranians could take them apart and nick some secrets in weapons design.

flipping hell, General Lord Richard Dannatt called Putin a bastard on Sky News and he wasn't even scolded for it! I suppose that the prerogative of being former commander of our military.

Does the lunatics taking over the House of Representatives mean that Ukraine will no longer get any US support?

Richard Dannatt always speaks his mind. He once called a PM a fcuking idiot for cutting the defence budget, while he was still in the military.

General public opinion in the US is against giving any more money to Ukraine given the dire situation that many of them are in. Americans are not use to high gas/petrol prices, inflation and food becoming expensive. They tend to holiday at home (different states), not have a passport, nor care about foreign politics unless its affecting them. Most foreigners visit New York or Florida but thats not the real USA. Goto a dinner in the middle of nowhere in the midwest and explain your from the UK, you will be shocked by some saying "Where is that ?"

And it you ever find yourself in Texas then don't get into an argument about why they have so many guns. Just shut up and run.

In true Johnson style, Putin decided to visit a hospital today while losing a chunk of Russia.

I find it very strange the Russian commander on state TV said they couldn’t supply their troops in Kherson. Why not, there is a supposedly secure route all the way to Russia on their onside of the river ?

That’s laughable or are they pulling their troops out for a false flag and reason to use some naughty weapon ?

The press footage was quite comical to me. It's obvious they're trying to show the Russian people that they're putting Russian lives first and realise the 10000(0)s of lives lost can't be hidden forever, but it was like watching a first school play.

What the guy said was translated as, "I agree with your conclusions and suggestions, for us the life and health of Russian servicemen is always a priority".

 Might want to give them some updated field dressings then and not ones dated 1979 and used in the Russia/Afghan war.

The general who made the decision has two bullet holes on the left side of his head. He could do with some field dressings himself.

Main discussed idea here's that there was some agreement behind the curtains. And this uncertainty and secrecy are pissing people of.

Many analysts have said over 100,000 Russian soldiers have died or been seriously injured since the war or special operation began.

If that turns out to be anywhere near true then its diabolical by any modern military standards. Thats 20,000 more than the entire UK armed forces put together. Imagine if the UK lost all its armed forces in 9 months of a conflct. Unthinkable.

It does kind of make sense though given how many have now been called up in Russia to fight.

So, how is it going for Russia, I would say, not very well.

What do you think happens next. Full retreat?

I think Putin will try and hold on to Crimea at least. If he loses that then he knows he will be removed from power in an undignified manner. So when is back is totally against the wall he may think, what the hell, do something really silly/dangerous.

But western intelligence has been pretty good up until now in tipping off Ukraine. There have been multiple attempts to kill/capture Zelensky and his family. So far, all prevented.

The next 3 weeks will be key, does Putin/Russia leave their troops in Ukraine without proper ammunition, medical supplies and food rations during a harsh winter, do they try and end the conflict one way or the other or do they give up and totally retreat and try to save face.

Personally, i think senior people in the FSB will conclude that Putin should be removed. But, who knows. ;)

Considering Ukraine have now invaded what Putin considers Russian territory, Putin's been very quiet about it!
