Hello.
Simple question.
I assume it would be once you've installed BA on your new PC, as once you are logging in, your your same screen layout and settings are as per your saved layout and settings obviously?
Hope so as would be a real faff if not!
I've an advanced chart that I think is just one of the custom ones(PRICE/VOL/WOM) on a second screen which will obviously be connected to the new PC come the time.
Would be so straight forward if that's the case. Please tell me that is what happens?!
Thanks
Is my screen layout saved when I login on a new PC?
If you install BA on a new PC, you need to save your screen and setting configuration on your old machine and import it to the new one. It only takes a couple of minutes. Without that, there's no way your new PC can know what settings and layout you had on the other.SUSSEXTRADER wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 6:20 pmHello.

All your settings, layouts, rules files etc are saved locally on the PC you are using Bet Angel on
If you want to transfer them to another PC you need to locate the following folder and copy all the files and folders to a USB stick or cloud
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Bet Angel\Bet Angel Professional
Where it has USERNAME this is your PC user name i.e. John, Jenny etc
Then navigate to the same folder on your new PC and put the files in there

Cheers so treat me like an idiot!
How would I go about saving those settings on a memory stick and then loading them on the new PC?
I've exported that chart to my downloads folder on the PC and can then save to a memory stick, so when loading BA on the new PC,
if I use the IMPORT option on the ADVANCED CHART SETTINGS would that produce the old chart that you could then position where you want it, then save the SCREEN LAYOUT and it would be ready to go?
Also there is only that one advanced chart that needs compiling so could set it up again on the new PC but how do you dock the new chart so I can drag it to the second screen?
It's the PRICE/VOL/WOM...That's a custom one on there isn't it?

Ok there seems to be some difference of opinion here...Dallas you're saying you need to transfer those files by what looks a complicated process but Derek you are saying just export and import the settings and screen layout, which is obviously much easier?
Anyone out there who has changed PC's recently and can confirm the easiest way?!
Cheers.

Both ways will work, exporting and importing your settings individually is ok for just transferring the odd file or two, but to individually transfer every Chart, settings profile, layout profile, guardian list profile, rules file, grid layout, ladder settings custom column profile etc etc would take several hours depending how many you haveSUSSEXTRADER wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 7:27 pmOk there seems to be some difference of opinion here...Dallas you're saying you need to transfer those files by what looks a complicated process but Derek you are saying just export and import the settings and screen layout, which is obviously much easier?

Copying the whole contents of the folder the way I mentioned above onto a memory stick the pasting it into the same directory on the new PC means everything will be exactly the same on your new PC as it was on your old one (even the profiles you were currently using will be in place for you) - and it only takes around 30secs no matter how much stuff you need to transfer over

Ok I will try to do that.
But where are these files?
I've found a folder on my C drive files(Program FilesX86) saying Bet Angel then Bet Angel Professional but how do you find those files as they're not listed as C//KEVIN/........??
Cheers

You need to type that url into your address bar or you can access the same directory by opening Guardian, clicking advanced settings then explore reports folder - when the window opens in the address bar just click on 'Bet Angel Professional' and that will be the same folder the url takes you toSUSSEXTRADER wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 8:46 pmOk I will try to do that.

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I've found the best way to do it is install Bet Angel on the new PC from the usual download. Then literally copy everything from the existing PC in folder 'C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Roaming\Bet Angel\Bet Angel Professional' then drop it all into the same folder on the new PC. This creates an exact replica of all existing settings, layouts, market reports etc.
That's exactly the way I said he should do itjamesedwards wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 9:22 pmI've found the best way to do it is install Bet Angel on the new PC from the usual download. Once you've opened the folder its then no different from transferring photo's, videos or your other saved filed to a new PC
