linking rule to market in guardian problem

im a newby but not, returnee after years away

so used all before, but its moved on big time, much more choice and complexity

anyway, as before, creating rules file when try to connect it to a game market it wasnt created in
i get the message, that it might not work in this game, or behave as expected. this is footy markets
unlike in the past, i could link it anyway.
currently, i cannot link rules to a GAME IN WHICH THEY WERE NOT CREATED
the rules file is in the list but when i try to [put it into the guardian watch list automation rules box,
it will not go in just leaves the box blank, unless its been created in that game initially, in which case it will go in and show up.
today ive had to copy rules file attach it as new to a new game, with a new name for it to be accepted.
clearly i cant move forward like that

any ideas?? what ive done or how to fix it

Its because you've applied it to a selection by name ie, 0-0 in the England V France match
So you can't then use that rule on another CS market from another match

You need to apply it using any of the other options
On football markets most people would apply by 'Betfair row number'

which is the case on all rules.

That rule is fine, providing all others in the file are also applied to a Betfair row number you'll be able to use the same file on multiple markets

it appears in drop down list
click on it
it wont appear in the box, and i get the message as before, re may not work
i can attach other rules files, so it appears its just this one.

Have you checked every rule and condition in the file?
It only needs one rule or condition to still be looking at the selection by name and the rule won't be useable on other/multiple markets

It only shows that the first rule is applied to row 11
You'd need to screenshot each rule selected in turn, and the same on the conditions
Or upload the actual file

Alternatively another thing you could do is create a new file, then use the copy button (the one to the right of the red 'X') and copy each rule into your new file
But do one, then save and apply it to a few markets, if it works copy the second, try it again then the third and so on
If it stops working after a rule/s is copied you'll know were the problem is

You are only showing a small selection of the rules. Dallas was correct in terms of telling what the error is, but you haven't supplied enough information for anybody to resolve it.

If you upload the file, somebody would spot it fairly quickly.

If you apply ALL rules by row there is no reason it wouldn't work.

Hi mister,
You have had replies from the two most experienced gurus on this forum, suggesting where the problem lies (and with my minute amount of knowledge I agree with them!)

As you state, it seems that your rules are applied to row number, but as Dallas suggested earlier, have you checked that all conditions apply to row number and none apply "by name"........it will only take you 60 secs to check!!

I think it would be helpful, if someone would, actually refer to the decriptions, which clearly show, all are to a row number...

no isolating each of 8 rules one by one, creating 8 new separate rules, is not 60 seconds at all.
yes looking at the info in the latest screenshots is 60seconds.
Trouble is, they show they are as required.
re - two gurus, they have had a cursory look, and said more info needed
more supplied, ignored,not reffered too.
yeah great, now lets get all the psychofants piling in.

ive made my feelings known to support, outside the forum.
I dont think this open forum is the best way to resolve.

Your screenshots only show 7 of the 8 rules in the file, you haven't provided any for the back 2-3 rule (the description is hidden in your first image and out of view in those posted since)

Also you've not sent any screen shots of the conditions on each of the rules like I've asked for 4 days ago

I also offered to look at the file for you if you uploaded it but you haven't done so yet

I then suggested you copy each rule turn to a new file and try it before adding the next to see where the problem lies but it doesn't look like you've done that either

People can only help if you provide the information they ask for or follow the instructions they give
