Apparently they found a power problem. A replacement power source is imminent and here is a sneak preview of their new style UPS! They just need a constant food and water supply!

Rumour going round that this is a direct denial of service attack on betfair. Hardly surprising

Was wondering how long it would be before someone had a go at a ddos attack or similar on betfart!

Looks like it was just a "normal" outage.
Due to technical problems caused by a network routing issue, we remain unable to reactive bet placement on our site. Our engineers are working as quickly as they can to resolve the issue and are aiming to have the site back fully functional as quickly as possible.
