Hi all,
I'm wondering if there are 2 or more rules columns (2 sets of rules) in Guardian do they work independently from each other?
For example, if I have a Green Up function for both sets of rules do they work independently? Or does a Green Up function on just one set of rules cover both rules?
Another example would be if there is a condition in one set of rules that the Number of Matched Bets is = 0, but another set of rules has already triggered a bet, does the second set of rules still place a bet or not?
Thanks for any replies.
Multiple Rules Columns in Guardian - Are They Independent From Each Other
No, they are all looking at the same market information and Betfair account
So just like if you placed a manual bet on Betfair a rule/s would see that irrespective of where and how the bet was placed, or if you green up in Bet Angel when you look on Betfair you will also be greened up their too

The only possible solution would be to increment a signal each time one is placed/matched, depending on your overall strategy this could be quite simple to set up or require much more thinking about before you begin adding them to your rules file
Yes, I'll have a further think - thanks.
Had one market that had both rule sets triggering 2 bets each. All looked good until the greening up at 0:00 and it then went a bit mad. Instead of a total number of bets being 8 after greening, I ended up with 32 bets with the last bet matched at 0:06 after event start time. I wanted to see what happened if I left greening for both sets and it obviously didn't like it. So looks like I only need greening in one set of rules.

Yes that's correct, it might even be worth having your Green up rule in a separate file on its own, that way you know exactly which markets its applied to and if you've removed it from all your betting files then there's no danger of getting double bets etctees wrote: ↑Wed Dec 21, 2022 8:15 pmYes, I'll have a further think - thanks.
