absolute madness to fire Tuchel
Tuchel p***ed off too many of the delicate, yet powerful players. Potter's appointment baffled me. It seemed like buying stability. But has proved to be the opposite.
I like Potter a lot but Brighton and Chelsea are different challenges. Brighton being above Chelsea probably won't last, but it does say something.

Southampton looking to spend to survive. (still think Danny Ings should be brought back)

For a moment I laughed at Chelsea's league position but then I realized Liverpool is only 3 points above them.
Tbh expected a lot more from Potter but will reserve most of the judgement for now. They do have 10 injuries atm and the club/squad has gone through a lot of change.

I wonder will Chelsea be able to spend their way back to the top like they were in the Abramovich era ?Kai wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 12:19 pmFor a moment I laughed at Chelsea's league position but then I realized Liverpool is only 3 points above them.

No, because Todd Boehly doesn't know what he's doing. Roman was rich, but smart. He ejected anyone that failed.Archangel wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 12:48 pmI wonder will Chelsea be able to spend their way back to the top like they were in the Abramovich era ?Kai wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 12:19 pmFor a moment I laughed at Chelsea's league position but then I realized Liverpool is only 3 points above them.

Todd Boehly seems to view Chelsea as a plaything that can be disposed of in the future for a profit. He's wrong, he's out of his depth. Chelsea are in big trouble.
And his asset is dwindling befre his eyes, but he can't see it.
Brendan looks broken and his team has for a while now. The irony is his team aren't playing his way. So many touches, so ponderous. And then his saviour (Vardy) comes on and misses a sitter. Looks like its falling around Brendan's ears and that's a shame. I think there is a lot be said for his style of play. But if the players won't do it, it's over. Good luck to those players. They are now going only one way - down.
And Man City have been like a shadow. I wouldn't like to be a Man C player facing a fan that's made the round journey from Manchester to Southampton.
Epitomises the corrupt nature of pro football.
But fair play. Saints won handsomely.
Imagine a Saints fans dilemma pre-match
