What is up with these FFP avoidance amortization shenanigans from Chelsea?

Spending 100mil on Mudryk and giving him an 8.5 year contract. Badiashile signed on a 7.5 year deal as well.

That is a very long time in football  That's like 5 times as long compared to human years, very similar to dog years.

Missed this yesterday, very cheeky from Saints : https://twitter.com/SouthamptonFC/statu ... 8483808257

Sounds like Everton fans were up to no good again!

Terrible pen decision for Newcastle The Fulham player was already spinning away before any contact. Shocking.

Oh look Mitrovic has done the decent thing and double-touched the pen. Justice?

Both Conte and Son wave bye-bye as they arrive at Spurs. Notably alone. So does this suggest a statement of intent? As a neutral I would rather lose Conte than Son.

8.5 years :?
I get the feeling this new Chelsea ownership is going to end in tears

He just turned 22 the other day and he'll be over 30 when that contract is up

Can see why he turned down Arsenal!

I wonder does anyone ask themselves, what happens if he turns out to not be world class? I know theres a question mark over any new signing, but when you are handing out a near decade long contract, you cant afford to get it too wrong

Sets a very dangerous precedent for all their future transfers, best of luck with that approach smh

Ye, only City can really afford to spend 100mil on a bench player like Grealish. Everyone else has to get it right, including Newcastle at this stage.

But maybe it's catching up to City a bit as well, last 10 games they only have 1 more point than Liverpool. And unlike Liverpool, they're starting to struggle in front of goal, they play too safe and want every chance to be clear-cut. I think Pep has overdone it with perfectionism this time, might just cost him the title this year

Plus over-reliance on Haaland to score goals might hurt them at some point if he gets injured, he often did in the past

Lloris fluffs it again. I wonder when the odds are going to reflect what a liablity he is.

Betfair really are frustrating when it comes to VAR. Benfica v Sporting market open during along VAR decision, market suspended when penalty awarded, VAR trades voided. Just let people trade!

Atalanta game was a cracker 10 goals. Turned it off after the 1st goal as it scuppered my entry

Under a bit of pressure Klopp. Chelsea on Saturday, so be interesting to see what team he goes with. Be a couple of ticks on offer hopefully.
