Just a quick question on what the full-time traders put don on forms. Do you just put "Sports Trader" or would you go with self-employed or unemployed?
I did think that you would put unemployed because it's all tax free but I wasn't sure.
Job Tilte
When I insured my car, I told the person at the call centre that I was a professional gambler, and let them tell me which job category it fell into.
That way, if I need to claim, the insurance company can't weasel their way out of paying me by saying that I'd put myself into a job category that didn't apply to me.

What makes you a professional gambler as opposed to being just a gambler?
Always intrigued why people put professional before their job title when talking about trading. It is not like you see people saying Professional Doctor or Professional Cleaner
I just go for unemployed as I am not employed by any one.

The fact that I was using my earnings from gambling to pay the bills, and it was my sole source of income.andyfuller wrote:What makes you a professional gambler as opposed to being a gambler?
I say 'was' as I'm not currently gambling, but that's another story!
