I have been trading manually for about 15 years, but I now wish to set up a bot in Guardian which will simply place a lay bet on a nominated runner in a nominated race. I have developed a strategy in which I lay a specific horse in each race at 2 meetings on a Saturday. For example, I would lay a specific runner in each race at Flemington and Randwick (say Horse 3 in race 1 at Flemington, Horse 6 in Race 1 at Randwick, Horse 4 in Race 2 at Flemington and so on.) I have checked out every video I can find on Bet Angel and I still need to be certain that I can do what I want to. The problem is that I turned 80 last Sunday and - without using that as an excuse - I am not all that great with automation - in fact, I am a complete novice. I would be grateful if someone could help me by providing a step-by-step set of instructions to achieve my objective. I have fiddled around with Guardian but I all the videos I have watched explain how to lay "any selection" rather that a specific selection. Just to add some complexity to the task I would also want to use a fixed stake at odds between $2.00 and $6.00 and then lay by liabioity between $6.01 and $10.00.

Thank you in anticpation and best regards from Melbourne.

When creating a rule you need to apply it to 'Guardian nominated selection' 1
https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/app ... tions.html

That will allow you to select the name of the horse its to trigger on from the 'Automation Nominated selection 1' column of the main market list
https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/app ... _list.html

and then on the conditions tab add two fixed odds conditions to create the price range between 2.0 and 6.0
https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/fixed_odds.html

Then add a 'Number of Place bet triggers condition' on selection is equal to 0
https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/num ... ggers.html

Once you've done that select the rule in the rules editor and at the top click the icon with 2 green arrows to duplicate the whole rule, then one the new rule just go onto the parameters tab and change your staking from a fixed stake to by liability

Then go onto the conditions tab and change the prices to 6.02 and 10.0

And thats it.

Each race only one of those two rules can trigger providing the price is between your specified odds

Thanks very much for that Dallas - I'll see how I go with that.
