How is the BSP Calculated

Just crunching through my Greyhound data.

Am I correct in that BSP is calculated by the pool of money (backers and layers) who want to take BSP and the money available to match them in the exchange at the off, if there's a surplus on either the back or layside it takes whatever money that's left on the table? It becomes an equation of supply, demand and liquidity?

Any advice will be welcome
