A disgraced PM nominates his disgraced father for a knighthood!

How proud people must be to be on that list.

The idea of banning people who come over in small boats from doing something they're not allowed to do anyway really tickles me. It's like barring bank robbers from robbing banks.

I'm a bit puzzled. They get sent back to where? Is France accepting these people back? Are the countries they came from accepting them back?
Is it all about shunting them off to rwanda and on to a third country?

I guess they'll stay here in hotels for a couple of years and then, maybe, 20 or so will get sent to Rwanda. :)

So a bit more unilateral policy that is unworkable. And the crime gangs will be rolling on the ground in hysterics.

I think there was a plan to detain them in prison for 18 weeks and then individually deport them to their place of origin, on flying pigs. :)

It's almost as good as the present proposal to make it illegal for them to live here, on the presumption that people won't do things if they're illegal.

Suella Braverman is like a trader that lays every horse in-play at 1.37, realises it doesn't work, and then proposes a new plan to lay every horse at 1.45.

Gary Lineker likens immigration policy to Nazi Germany. BBC not happy.

It's not clear how Braverman's language is similar to Nazi Germany.
Perhaps the attempts by the Nazi's to encourage Jews to leave Germany.
Morally, I'm with Lineker 100%. We aren't doing enough (compared to out European neighbours) for genuine asylum seekers and some would say we have created an obstructive system.
If we had an open, well funded asylum system it would pull the rug out from under the criminal gangs. But that is apparently, politically unacceptable, so we blunder on filling the pockets of those disgusting groups.

Suella Braverman claims it's likely that more than a quarter of the world's population is eager to come over to live in the UK if possible.

It must be for the free cans of economy baked beans at the food banks.

I've just received a call from the BBC asking me to host the programme tomorrow but I've turned them down. :D
