Does it feel good that we accomodate fewer asylum seekers than other similarly wealthy economies?

Some people trade the OU market as though a VAR is a guaranteed penalty and a guaranteed goal!
And then get there bets voided
I'm not entirely sure those bets would have been voided because no decision was reversed. I tried to get a back bet on the under market but it didn't get matched

Depends where you live. It’s a real problem on the south coast where I am located. There is allot of anger and only a matter of time before someone does something stupid. We already had the situation where fisherman blocked the launch of a life boat which was called out because of migrants in distress. There are regular meetings being held and the anger in the room is something you would attribute to 1959s America. No offence meant.

MOTD to be aired without presenters!

They might not be needed back.

Players joining in the protest and refusing after-match interviews.

Commentator's stepping down tomorrow.

I am aware there is hostility towards migrants but I wonder whether thats more down to the way we integrate them. And perhaps if we did that better those concerns would disappear. Of course if its racism thats a problem, but racism is the problem there, not the migrants. Just my opinion and I don't live on the south coast so have no perception of the concerns people have.

Nothing to do with integration. They dont want them here full stop. Housing rents are going through the roof, not enough school places, not enough GP surgery's, transport links gridlocked. There argument why should they come here, get benefits, housing (any kind) and jobs. To them, they not welcome, send them somehow else, anywhere. I guess part of it is rascism for sure. Fishermen blocking a life boat launch is unherd of in a civil society but it happened and was on the BBC news. Something very bad is going to happen. What you going todo, lock all these people up, think you might need allot of new prisons, quick!

This is what happened in Hastings awhile back, the one that happened at Shoreham was surpressed for some reason but it was in local media:

I think that touches on what I mean about how we integrate migrants. Concentrating them in certain areas is precisely the wrong thing to do. But I guess part of that is the choices the migrants make. Perhaps wanting to be in large groups for support or safety even. Dunno. Sad situation for all.
And I think Lineker has the moral high ground here. Surely he has the right to express his personal opinion on non-footballing issues?

Dunno, the BBC says he broke one of their rules. I don’t think he will be coming back.

 Final Score replaced by The Repair Shop. It's gonna take some repairing for this spat to be resolved. The bonus is not having to listen to Alan Shearer. :-)

The best bit is we can just watch the football highlights without ANY pundits giving their views. Sack the lot of them I say. :D

The FA cup quarter final weekend should be good fun.

For too long the legitimate concerns of those questioning the unsustainable UK immigration levels, have been wrongly dismissed as 'racist'. Almost all of our public services are utterly overwhelmed and the current tax-payer funded hotel bills to house these invaders is currently 6 MILLION POUNDS per day! This is a crisis that has zero to do with race and to suggest that it has is narrow minded in the extreme.

Regarding the many BBC wokesters that have been fired / given ultimatums by Tim Davie, I'm thrilled that Lecturing Lineker can no longer use his BBC platform to promote his appalling views.

I will watch MOTD with interest this evening.

And expect I'll enjoy it.

And on the other hand, we currently have a labour shortage. We also take fewer migrants than our European neighbours. Has this imacted those economies? No. Since 2016 we have been flatlining as an economy while they have shown continuous (barring blips like covid and ukraine) growth.
I follow my Mum's view. These migrants have the get up and go to improve their lives (we only have one). Exactly the people we need. I wouldn't be here without my great grandad migrating from South Africa and his family from Indonesia to South Africa.
We could easily do far, far more. But we're mean. And Braverman and Sunak to be heading up this policy is hypocritical beyond belief.
