Anyway back to football. 7-0 one week and 1-0 defeat the next against a team in the relegation zone. Awful pen form Salah. It's a funny old game.

Just dropped in to see what the views on MOTD were
I'm very surprised it still has viewers under 60, I genuinely think the last time I intentionally watched it would have been back when Des Lynam was presenting it. I always liked Des, he came across as the kind of chap who'd be very quiet and reserved in the pub, but when the lock-in came, he'd be telling the most outlandish stories of his tv career, in between banging an empty beer bottle on the table as he sings songs like Hey Jude or I Don't Like Mondays. Just googled and he's still going, 80 years of age now, and many more to him hopefully.
If I'm interested in a game I'll either stream it (USA networks usually, more colourful commentators, plus as a LFC fan, fuck Martin Tyler) and if I'm not streaming the game, I'll get a phone notification of a goal, then find a replay of the goal in a few minutes on Reddit. I found a stream before that was called Golazo or Gollazo or something like that, it was similar to the Sky Sports live studio thing with Jeff and Kammy etc, but it's outside the UK broadcasting limits so it shows the goals and penalties and shit....as they happen!
Regarding MOTD, I don't actually associate Lineker with it at all. If you were to ask me 5 things that come to mind when you say Gary Lineker;
1)Spurs
2)Leicester
3)Walkers Crisps
4)Italia 90
5)Literally shitting himself against Ireland in Italia 90 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvBf4FLL678
Can you imagine coming up against big brute Mick McCarthy after that? "Fahkin 'ell lad, you after shattin yoself?"

Lineker isn't a direct employee of BBC, probably an employee and director of Gary Lineker Media Resources Ltd or something like that, so the sensible approach would have been to release a statement saying that, and that Gary's views are his own and do not represent the views of the BBC. Over and done with.
But now it's gonna be brought up in the House of Commons, abuse of taxpayers money, he's not even an elected official but has X million watchers on MOTD, then MOTD chief or BBC head is gonna have to defend the salary on "Market price" bullshit tactics. Gimme a fuckin break! By that logic, Ronseal Shearer is the best available at market price, does what it says on the tin, sits on the fuckin fence. I'd bet you a penny to a pound Kevin Doyle on RTE is getting paid a fraction of what Shearer is, yet has Premier League experience, and actually has good insight into games and calls out terrible play when he sees it.
I'm not just taking a shot at BBC, Sky are well guilty of thinking great players equal great pundits. Gullit? Henry? Drogba? I'd rather be sentenced to death by licking my own nuts off than listen to them for eternity.
Next MOTD presenter?
1)Andy Townsend would be brilliant, Irish cockney legend, balls to the wall player, blood and hard tackles, great live commentator...you can imagine him commentating on a Utd game if he was off-mic...I don't think he'd be fond of Bruno Fernandes theatrics
Accent too common for BBC though
£?
2)Me and my nephews Matt and Jack. I'm awesome. Matt is one of those incredibly abstract intelligent kids that will why why why why question you until the day is done.
Jack is less inquisitive but has literally no fears and a mohawk. Seriously, he'll be the one in a Chelsea shirt at a West Ham v Millwall game
Matt is 7, Jack is 6.
£20k per week
3)My woman. She's on the look out for a new job because she's getting treated like shit in her current place. Has a filthy laugh at a good joke, beautiful face, big tits, shouts too much at teams that have Zambian players, can only work 20hrs a week under her visa.
£20k per week
As agent for 2) and 3) I will be offering their joint services to the BBC for a discounted price of 35k per week on a rolling non breakable fully payable 120 month contract.

3-4 pages were moved from here earlier as the majority of the messages went off-topic and onto immigration and politics with no mention of MOTD, Football or even Lineker
I'll have you know I did mention Lineker in my political rant

In other news, I offically give up on Liverpool this season. I have to seriously question the mentality monsters psycological state...
