Why not try day trading?

I'm pretty new so the premium charge doesnt effect me but reading some of the posts from the bigger earners I cant help wondering why you guys dont try day trading.

I know that the are larger overheads but if you're paying 60% of your profits to Betfair then I don't think there would be too much of a difference when all the fees and tax are added up. I'm sure you could take your expertise onto the financial markets and make money?

Also theres always lots of liquidity on financial markets, options etc....

And I think I'm right in saying that you could make a lot more money per day if you were good at it than you could on horse racing markets.

I'm probably wrong and theres some fundamental reason why this isnt viable but it would be interesting to hear your thoughts.
