Man City have systematically taken Liverpool apart here, done with pure arrogance. Great to watch as a neutral not so much if your a Liverpool fan, Liverpool's confidence is shot to bits there season has just ended today.
Just another horror show we've had to endure this season
If I was a Liverpool fan I'd be looking at holiday's now no need to wait for the season to end  Bit of rebuilding to do at Anfield but I suppose the question is will the owners support it? Liverpool in danger of being left behind IMO

LFC is a conundrum ATM. 7-0 v United. Beaten by Brighton twice. And by the sounds of it trampled and capitulated today. Last year must have set each individual's expectations and when the opponents don't comply it looks LFC just give up.

I think they are already starting to be left behind. The spending power of other top teams doesnt seem to be there and the ownership is an ongoing saga. No CL next season will just exacerbate the decline I think

It's football lads

It usually means pain

When this sort of malaise sets in it's difficult for a team to snap out of it without the shock of a managerial change

They can be thankful that the Intertoto cup doesn't exist anymore, having said that, reckon they'd take it.

Before the international break I flip-fopped from doom to hope. Looks like doom is back. Who the hell knows what the next game will offer up? Most teams n the EPL are fairly predictable (performance wise not results) but LFC seem to pendulum between the glorious and the abject, regardless of the opposition. Quite weird. Must be the ownership questions and Klopp not helping by saying outright that there's going to be a reset of personnal after this season.

If Liverpool do get that 4th spot which will be a miracle it'll be because Newcastle and Spurs capitulate and with what's going on at Spurs I'd make Newcastle slight favorites for 4th.

Won't get any easier for Liverpool with Man Utd's potential new owners whoever it maybe will no doubt pump money into them, Chelsea will sort themselves out once they get rid of Potter, Newcastle will at some point get the cheque book out properly (I think there just waiting for the ownership issue to die down so don't attract to much attention at mo)

Although just simply spending with abandon isnt much of a plan either, just look at Chelsea

Liverpool play Chelsea on Tuesday

Valid point but there's correlation between expenditure and position, Chelsea won't see improvement until they have a change of management.

End of season mid-table 0-0 clash written all over it Tuesday then

Which will include a severance clause. Kerching! for Potter. But obviously being sacked would dent his ego and maybe reputation
