UK General Election 2024 (or 25)
He hasn't commited a criminal offence has he? And he has fought back on the two accusations that have been supported by the report. He strikes me as someone that doesn't suffer fools and expects high standards. I liked working for those kind of people. They did indeed bully and were demanding. But if you did your job, it was no problem. In 25 years in IT I never saw someone being singled out that didn't deserve it. The exception being during redundancies where old scores were settled and good people got ejected.
Your experience isn't relevant as your old IT boss is not the accused. There is no excuse for belittling somebody, intentionally or not. You won't get the best out of your workforce if you do that.greenmark wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2023 1:47 pmHe hasn't commited a criminal offence has he? I was once caught drinking in the office and my manageress politely told me to pour the can of beer down the sink. I would have accepted being shouted at for that or mistakes due to a gross lack of effort, but in my view, screaming and shouting at an employee because their work unintentionally fell below the standard expected or leaving them frightened to report to their boss is totally unacceptable.
What happened with the flying tomato allegation? Was he cleared of it?
Screaming and shouting? Has this been published?Derek27 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2023 2:02 pmYour experience isn't relevant as your old IT boss is not the accused. Hang on I'll google it but if you have the evidence I'd welcome it.
Forget that I've found it.
Having read the report Derek27, you're talking out of your bum.greenmark wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2023 3:12 pmScreaming and shouting? "Overall, I conclude that the DPM’s conduct during the MoJ Period was on some
occasions ‘abrasive’, in the sense of a personal style which is and feels
intimidating or insulting to the individual, but is not intended to be so. His
conduct was not, however, ‘abusive’, in the sense of behaviour which is
intended and specifically targeted. He has been able to regulate this level of
‘abrasiveness’ since the announcement of the investigation. The DPM should
have altered his approach earlier, and in particular after certain concerns had
been flagged by Sir Philip Barton and Antonia Romeo."
Oh look way back in 2011 Raab was accused of bullying by the Daily Mail.

Ironically, Sunak's resignation acceptance letter suggested he should learn from the events [his mistakes?]. Some chance of that.Emmson wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2023 5:04 pmOh look way back in 2011 Raab was accused of bullying by the Daily Mail.

We're on the same page Derek.

Labour still displaying Jeremy Corbyn's anti-semitism rhetoric, not really surprising to see his biggest fan in the party display it.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2023 12:23 pmThere could be trouble ahead....

Politics is really in the gutter all a load of racists, liars, bully's and corrupt to the core.
I'm left of centre and she makes me wince every time she opens her mouth. I'd like someone to tell me what great things she's done to have such a high profile.Michael5482 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2023 1:03 pmLabour still displaying Jeremy Corbyn's anti-semitism rhetoric, not really surprising to see his biggest fan in the party display it.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2023 12:23 pmThere could be trouble ahead....

Agree an absolute liability every times she's in front of the media, hopefully last we see of her. Buck stops with Starmer should of cleaned the party out of Corbyn and his racist mates on day one.greenmark wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2023 1:09 pmI'm left of centre and she makes me wince every time she opens her mouth. One day MP's will concentrate on running the country instead of the constantly being embroiled in controversy. Here's to hoping.

The MP, who cheers for the poor yet sent her son to one of the most prestigious schools in the UK. He gets into trouble for biting and spitting at a Police Officer and then she tries to put a gagging order on his sentencing hearing.
Problem is, she has around 37 MPs with full backing on her ideas and thoughts. Hopefully they break away from the Labour party but that might prove a problem for Sir Kier at the next GE. Depending on how he handles it.
She really is a vile individual.
