Indeed.

If Betfair admit they were in the wrong, I hope Peter gets a personal apology from someone senior...

nothing you can do until tuesday. Personally I recommend a long weekend in the sun

edit: Im not being flippant or anything in my post. I would be livid and gutted at the same time but its probably a good oppurtunity to have a long weekend off

If they reinstate your accounts Peter that would be an even bigger crock of shite.

Obviously realising they have upset a high profile client who has a massive influence on their business. My money is on a grovelling apology and "It was a mistake".

Wether or not they reinstate the account is sort of secondary now, the genie is out of the bottle.

I hope Peter gets the outcome he desires, It goes to show the sort of guy he is. If it was me I would having my picture taken by the RP by now :)

If they 'think' you have avoided the PC what next? Is that case closed Columbo get your coat on the way out? Or is there some kind of come back?

Worrying stuff, chin up Peter and try to enjoy a few days off as it sounds like you can't do anything until Tuesday unless you can get hold of someone high up who can give you some answers and bring the Tuesday date forward.

School holidays and the first weekend off in many, many years. No, I understand exactly there you are coming from. I think I should treat the kids to the weekend away.

I expect after 4 days of investigating (chasing their own shadow), they'll not come up with anything conclusive and unsuspend Peter's account.

I'll happily place a bet to say you won't get an apology though. It'll probably just say "we have not found you to be in any breach of conditions and you may continue to use your account" full stop. And that will be it from their point of view. They won't even consider how their reputation has been damaged further.

By tomorrow night you can have your feet up after a day in the sun with the kids having a BBQ and beer somewhere. Betfair investigation team will be the last thing you will be thinking about. I'd probably be already at the airport!

I've packed and gone in 10 minutes before today!

Have you considered asking for a market to be opened on BF Peter? How would the betting be?

;)

Enjoy your break at least it isn't during Goodwood or the like.

I've actually been trading Betdaq seriously this afternoon and haven't lost on a single market. That's a first for me on Betdaq.

Well the markets on BF are the same as ever this afternoon, plenty of spoofing and large amounts pushing money around, so I guess Peter can't be blamed for that after all ;)

Yup plenty of spoofing today! And shocking racing, how can we have at the height of summer 1 jump meeting and an AW meeting on a Friday afternoon!

Not really Suprised by this latest news to be honest,
But I don't really buy this automated suspension idea, they know exactly who Peter and what they are doing, this is imo clearly them making a statement.

Seriously though who is going to leave large sums of money in their account now, they just want traders gone imo and this is a good way of doing it as any.
