Hi

I have been using the store values using .csv feature within Guardian for a while now, and it has really transformed my trading.

I have a question regarding filtering markets to assign stored values.

Currently in the BA csv template, columns 1-4 are used to filter market name, time, selection name, selection row number; columns 5-7 are used to assign the SV itself.

Focusing just on column 1 – the market name can tell us 3 distinct things:
  • the racecourse
  • the distance
  • the type of race
Does anyone have a method of performing multiple filters on market name to assign a distinct value?

As an example, take the following markets from a couple days ago, which I'd like to filter by course and distance:

Horse Racing / Exeter 21st Apr : 2m7f Hcap Hrd
Horse Racing / Exeter 21st Apr : 2m1f Mdn Hrd

I'd like to assign an SV of 100 called 'X' to the Market if the market name contains 'Exeter' AND '2m7f',
and similarly, assign an SV of 200 called 'Y' to the Market if the market name contains 'Exeter' AND '2m1f'.

In the csv going by the logic above it might look something like this using wildcards, but this doesn't appear to work:
1,,,,,,
*Exeter**2m7f*,*,*,*,M,X,100
*Exeter**2m1f*,*,*,*,M,Y,200
