BA VPS

Hi guys - set up a 3rd party VPS. Downloaded and installed BA VPS edition and received a Code 6 error. The VPS is running Windows Server 2022.

Never used VPS before.

What have I missed.

I recall this from maybe 4 yrs ago.

I think it’s a security setting you need to fix on the control
panel.

Not sure which one etc. Sorry can’t be more use.

I think I got round it by installing non vps edition, then
eventually went to BA Vps.

Thanks for the responses. I'll hunt around the forum some more or hopefully someone can be more specific. I have been updating my security settings as I install software/email etc so maybe I have nudged it in the correct direction.

Downloaded the normal version and its up and running no problems. Tried to load up the server edition and same Code 6 error

Back to drawing board after work then.....

Server edition only works on specially modified servers that we supply. So if you use a third party VPS you will have to use the standard edition.

Its just a case that when we control the configuration of the server we can maximise the way Bet Angel uses that connection and specification.

That's a shame as the server version of BA would be a welcome addition to anyone running their own server if it helps the performance of several instances of BA running.

The server version is configured for the BA vps, wouldn't make a difference on a 3rd party vps. But the way BA works with throttled cycling (20ms 200ms etc) I can't see why/where any performance improvement is evident anyway.

I tend to think of server versions of software being more geared towards performance and less graphical, my mindset is coming from a gaming server background which is totally wrong by the looks of it
