Rested players as well. I watched the Brentford v Forest game but seen the goals, if they weren't robbed at Spurs by VAR they'd be fighting for a top 4 place.
Watching it back now and it looks like Brighton exploiting a pretty rubbish Wolves defence and attack. But that's the game isn't it? You beat the opposition you are facing and Brighton did that. I do wonder how much pressure bigger clubs will apply to acquire some of Brighton's players.Michael5482 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 5:42 pmRested players as well. I've watched the full highlights now and Wolves played like they were on the beach already but great stuff from Brighton put them to the sword.greenmark wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 9:47 pmWatching it back now and it looks like Brighton exploiting a pretty rubbish Wolves defence and attack. I think Mac Allister will be on a few teams transfer lists quite possibly Liverpool's as they've already been priced out of a move for Bellingham however teams like Newcastle for instance with Champions League football and the money they have are a bigger draw than Liverpool in fact Newcastle could just buy Bellingham if they wanted to if he'll go there of course.
Changing the subject slightly Liverpool along with Spurs are in a bit of trouble IMO with Newcastle, Man U who look like they'll have new owners very soon, Chelsea make a good appointment and are wedged up. Interesting summer ahead.
Indeed. ten Hag is doing a great job and if he can restructure the team as he wishes they could be title contenders. Howe is a very competent guy with a big budget (although as he ditches players it might disrupt things). But Chelsea I'm not so sure about. They seem to be mired in some sort self-destructive cycle. Poor performances, hiring and firing managers willy nilly, huge spending without apparent benefit. Spurs are the conundrum though. In the box seat for a top 4 and they've blown it. When a manager of Conte's standing criticises the players I would suggest he's probably spot on. Forget playing style. There is nothing more entertaining than winning.Michael5482 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 30, 2023 9:55 amI've watched the full highlights now and Wolves played like they were on the beach already but great stuff from Brighton put them to the sword.greenmark wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 9:47 pmWatching it back now and it looks like Brighton exploiting a pretty rubbish Wolves defence and attack. Bielsa is a force of nature. But it seems like the players got worn out and gave up. It's been downhill ever since.
People forget where Leeds where before Bielsa. Though money matters, the personality of the manager is really a strong component to success.
Swapping Marsch for Bielsa was plain stupid.

Haven't even had time to get a trade in yet. Training session for Liverpool from kick off, Spurs are miles off, no idea how Man U managed give that 2 goal lead away the other night against them.
Big job a Tottenham over the summer whoever gets it.
