Hello,

I am new to BetAngel and just trialling it currently. I currently use Betfair Bot Manager (BFBM).

Have checked the forums but cant find the answer to this. On BFBM I have a bot set up that Lays O3.5 goals in the Spanish Segunda if the lay price in the O3.5 goals market is in a defined price window. The key thing is that once the bot is turned on I can leave it entirely. It monitors all the Segunda games and if a game qualifies based on the O3.5 lay price, the bot fires. All fully automated.

I want to recreate the same thing in BetAngel. However, from what I have read and seen, it seems that I need to select a market in Guardian and apply the automation rule to it? Or am I missing something and this level of set and forget full automation is possible?

Thanks in advance.

You would load any markets of interest into Guardian then just apply the rule to ALL markets.

Use a filter to bring into Guardian all the markets you specifically want the rule to trigger on.

So you still have to physically select all the O3.5 markets for Segunda in Guardian and apply the rule to them all? There is no way that the bot can just monitor those markets without having to select them all and work automatically if one qualifies based on price?

Betfair don't allow the filtering by odds at the time of a market search but using a method along the lines mentioned by Euler you can quickly find and remove those markets which don't meet your odds criteria - then apply your rule to those remaining
viewtopic.php?f=61&t=18794

Checking they are within a price range is just a case of adding a second fixed odds condition to the example above

But TBH if it were me I still do it the way Euler mentioned and add the conditions directly to the back/lay rule, so the prices are tested at the time the rule triggers rather than what they are when you search for them - which could be wildly different if the search was done earlier in the day

The filter will allow you to find all the markets you want by your criteria. Once you define what you are looking, that's there forever and it's just a click to load all those markets. Then your rule will fire against those markets according to your criteria if you apply it to all.
