Although we've seen it coming a long way off its disappointing to see this in betfairs terms and conditions. Surely any pretensions that the exchange is aspirational are over :

The Game is played by those who wish to wager on the outcome of an uncertain event. By gone I mean that it was always open to both amateur and professional but now it would appear that all U.K./ Ireland regulated exchanges not just bookmakers want to prohibit attempts to gamble for long term profit. I obviously need to be careful with my wording as of course they dont mind customers who win through luck alone well at least until they try to withdraw. Times have indeed changed.

So nothing apart from personal and recreational use. That's been there for ages hasn't it? It just means you can only operate your own account for your own benefit. You can have a corporate account if that's not your case.jerry123456 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 9:24 amAlthough we've seen it coming a long way off its disappointing to see this in betfairs terms and conditions. Unless you charged them for doing it, or do it habitually, that's recreational use.

It's just std legal fluff about not using Betfair to operate as an unregulated bookmaker.

Correct. Clearly Betfair know there are loads of full-time players making a living at this. Otherwise they would be closing down all their PC accounts.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 12:18 pmUnless you charged them for doing it, or do it habitually, that's recreational use.![]()
