Sunak the Sensible: "Boris the Liar asked me to do something that I wasn't prepared to do because I didn't think it was right, that was either overrule the Holac committee or to make promises to people. I wasn't prepared to do that because I didn't think it was right, and if people don't like that then tough".

Boris the Liar: "Sunak the Sensible is talking rubbish. To honour these peerages it was not necessary to overrule Holac - but simply to ask them to renew their vetting, which was a mere formality".

:D

Boris the Liar has asked the Commons Privileges Committee to publish its report into whether he lied to parliament without further delay ( ). The buffoon said he wanted to let the "world" judge their nonsense with the report not expected to be released until later this week.

I realise you wanted to be king of the world Boris, but you're actually a disgraced and former PM of the UK. I don't think the world will care.

Buffoon Boris's legacy is getting Brexit done (   ) and his handling of the pandemic. I've never understood how partying every night amounts to handling a pandemic but the enquiry is beginning to pick holes in that legacy. No need to pick holes in the former. :)

Was listening to the Covid enquiry yesterday (UK preparedness) and Osbourne was getting a lot of criticism for running the NHS down to such an extent it couldn't cope with normal demand never mind a pandemic. I think he is on record saying he got it wrong in terms of the extent state spending was cut (v's state borrowing - he cut both).

Anyhow government lawyers turn next - I wonder if they will throw him under the bus.

Starmer: If he spent as much time focused on the economy, the NHS and the asylum system as he does haggling with his predecessors about who gets honours, the country would be in a far better state. :)

Jesus Christ, no excuse for this from Labour. Little by little civil liberty's are eroded by politicians.

Whilst I detest the tactics of law breaking used by Just Stop Oil and Animal rising for example treating all protesters like criminals is just wrong. What happens if people want to protest against pension age rises, tax rises basically you'll be treated like a criminal while the real criminals in government and the house of lords gallivant around with impunity.

I watched an interview with an economist earlier whos says globally most country's are suffering from one of three main issues outlined as covid bounce back, war in the Ukraine (energy) or cost of living/food but the UK is suffering with all three.

He gave examples like France who don't have an energy crisis as they have sound nuclear energy infrastructure, most of Europe don't have a food/cost of living crisis due to being in a common market etc He basically dissected Government's incompetence over along sustained period of time.

Probably why MP's don't debate with specialists as they get torn apart.

Many countries around the world are suffering economic hardship, but only one country has had the misfortune of being run by Liz Truss for a few weeks. :)

“This is rubbish. It is a lie. In order to reach this deranged conclusion, the committee is obliged to say a series of things that are patently absurd, or contradicted by the facts."

Something really ironic about Johnson going in a hissy fit over a "lie" & things that are " patently absurd"...

I doubt Boris will worry too much:

- Since last September he has earn’t £6 million
- Was given £19,000 when he left Downing Street from public purse
- He will get £115,000 per year ex PM salary at public expense
- Entitled to car and driver at public expense
- Given security protection 24/7 at public expense
- Still a member of privy council
- Entitled to public funded lawyers if accused/charged with any crime or wrong doing relating to activities as PM.
- Entitled to government pension on terms unavailable to the public

I don’t think you will see him at the local food bank etc.

Boris the Bum would have been suspended for 90 days. :D

Thangam Debbonaire: Buffoon Boris lied. He lied to MPs, he lied to the people of this country, he lied to nurses, doctors, care workers, bus drivers, everyone who was putting their own lives at risk during the pandemic. :D

Penny Mordant's response: Read the report and make your own judgement.

Nadine Dorries warning that Conservative MPs who vote for the report could be deselected!

Jason Rees-Mogg: I think their fundamental judgement is wrong because I don't think he deliberately misled parliament and I think he tried to correct the record when he could and there's evidence for that.
