That's really interesting, need a few big priced winners to come in!

Thought Johnny Murtugh and Jason Weaver were going to come to blows on ITV Racing discussing Frankies 9 day ban

Another great days racing ahead.

Race 1 again missing TPD data. One of the best TPD races of the year. Such a shame.

Y, saw that. They have to relay the data from the on course provider as Ascot doesn't belong to any particular body it's an entity unto itself. So I guess the problem is there?

Its interesting to see horses coming from overseas to win big races here. US, Australian and Japanese racing looks to be growing while ours seems to be in a decline. A lot of the best UK/Irish 2 year olds are often being sold to foreign bidders after winning just one race !

TPD is down for all tracks so far today. They have a technical issue they are working on. Hope we don't miss a whole day of RA. :(

Made a bit of a mess of the last race, a bit lucky to escape with minimal loss

TPD came back up just in time for race 2.

One for later, but I had to restart Guardian to clear the "Error - cannot provide service" error. Is there a way this can be changed so the error message resolves itself rather than having to restart? I could have been sat here all afternoon thinking TPD was still down.

Bet in the Royal enclosure yesterday. Pitch cost about £110k,
which I suppose u amortise over 40 years.

Costs to run the thing for 5 days are about £8k with wages/Ascot pitch fees/hotels etc.

Took £22k from 700 bets - similar number of bets to last yr,
but took 18k then.

Bet to about 2% per runner - won £4k, before expenses.

Hard work.
Interesting insight. Thanks for sharing. Hope volume improves as we move into the weekend.
