Maximum bet BA Users have laid on SP
All, just looking for some historical feedback if you have backed at SP, and what the maximum bet you have managed to obtain either at your projected odds or close to. For example, what has been your experience with liquidity in general markets (not Saturday 'big' meetings) at tracks such as Newcastle, Windsor, Kempton, Salisbury for example. Have you ever managed to get, up to $2000 or £3000 at SP?

He means that with a sizeable enough stake you will adversely move SP more than you would move the market price before the off.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Mon Jul 10, 2023 1:05 pmI wish I found it much easier to get better than BSP in the last minute
eg trying to back £10k on a 2.0 fav just before the off might drag the average matched price down to 1.95, but try and whack it all on at SP might drag SP down to 1.90.
This is supercomplicated, especially taking into an account "iceberg" money ("take sp") that will be fired only at the off. That's the real problem to scale betsize without losing precious ticks (especially for big odds).jamesedwards wrote: ↑Mon Jul 10, 2023 3:25 pmHe means that with a sizeable enough stake you will adversely move SP more than you would move the market price before the off.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Mon Jul 10, 2023 1:05 pmI wish I found it much easier to get better than BSP in the last minute

The main issue is how much $ is available in ATB1 & ATB2 etcjamesedwards wrote: ↑Mon Jul 10, 2023 3:25 pm
