The minimum stake for a back bet at SP is £2 (or the local currency equivalent). The minimum liability if laying is £10 (or the local currency equivalent).

Just an idea but when it comes to sp bets that can be small. If I'm less than half the min I don't have it, but more than half and I'll round up to the min. It just helps when you might want a back for £1.99 or similar. Being a penny out is better than the full 1.99. It won't make any cash difference at the end of the day but it's just dotting I's and crossing T's.

Incidentally that Betfair term has got a hidden 'or'. You can back less than 2 quid at SP if the layers liability is more than 10. Eg you can back £0.10 at 100/1 and your 17p would have been OK if the horse was iro 60/1

Min BF bet size changed to £1 in Feb 22 so can back SP for that but min £10 liability remains for lay bets
