Hillsin non-trier Worcester
Has anyone got a recording of this race in-play (17.28), hearing it didn’t get below 13.0 in-play despite bolting up to the leaders under little to no pressure, should’ve got to around evs or below unless owner/trainer was laying it heavily in the run too.
Sorry, I meant a recording of the betting in-play, my bad
I just watched a replay of the race. I agree your observations.
I do a lot of back to lays and I must admit the jockey never made an effort even on the run in. The horse was cruising behind the leaders in the last half mile. He still managed third place.
That's shocking. You could see that Liam Harrison was actually trying to win on Bensini. Meanwhile Dylan Kitts wasn't even trying on Hillsin and could've won.
It did trade at 2.36 though.

It looks to me as though the stable were on early, owner wasn't happy he didn't have his money on so told the jock not to win. In most cases though the owner very rarely gets to say that much to the jockey but I saw somewhere that this owner has previous.
The oddest part to me though is it only got to a low of 12/1 in the run, its a TPD track but I imagine there's still quite a few who watch the race and bet without an aid.

It doesn't look a good watch, but think the clue was in the name of the race, a young jockey has made a massive error and shown his inexperience.
The horse was jumping right over the fences, so possibly had issues breathing as the jockey has indicated, he's maybe panicked, unsure to pull up or ride it, he's panicked done neither and the lines hit him.
Whatever your opinion is stuff like this always brings out the lowest in society. WTF is wrong with people that a conditional jockey handicap race on a Tuesday night motivates them so much they feel the need to send death threats to an individual, his family and staff.

I'm sure the authorities will deal with this in a balanced way - which is more than can be said for the keyboard warriors who send death threats. It's a sad reflection on society when people feel a need to react in this way.Michael5482 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 07, 2023 8:15 amIt doesn't look a good watch, but think the clue was in the name of the race, a young jockey has made a massive error and shown his inexperience.
