Yes there is definitely a Knack to it. It's all about the prompts. You can ask it to humanize it. You can even ask it to talk like a cockney if you wish

I agree, prompt engineers are the job of the future. If you ask the right questions you can get some really good answer, but it is a case of GIGO.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2023 1:06 amThere is a compelling argument for enhancing sentence construction and vocabulary within the school curriculum. If people aren't unable to articulate their thoughts concisely, they won't fully benefit from it.

1. **Introduction (00:00 - 01:08)**: The presenter begins by acknowledging that Betfair trading can seem complicated due to the many factors to consider, such as predicting the direction of the market, deciding when to open a trade, and whether to back or lay first. He then introduces the strategy he will discuss, which he claims is simple to understand and execute, and doesn't require guessing the market direction.

It's all very clever but why is it calling individual bets "trades'?

Unsure, I didn't further it. It's very good at taking instructions and you correcting it. From then it wont do it again.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2023 12:07 pmIt's all very clever but why is it calling individual bets "trades'?
It's an individual bet to you, but there's someone else on the other side of that bet, so you're trading with them.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2023 12:07 pmIt's all very clever but why is it calling individual bets "trades'?

It's semantics, even on Betfair there's no "trade history'. Two bets are two bets not a 'trade'.arch4672 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2023 11:19 pmIt's an individual bet to you, but there's someone else on the other side of that bet, so you're trading with them.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2023 12:07 pmIt's all very clever but why is it calling individual bets "trades'?
It sounds pedantic but 1 back might be balanced with 10 lays, and very few people ever do backs and lays in pairs. They bet multiple times then may or may not hedge. Which of those are grouped together as "trades"?
Trading is the name of the betting method/system/strategy not the bets themselves.
Yes, I agree. They're all just bets.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Sat Jul 15, 2023 10:27 amIt's semantics, even on Betfair there's no "trade history'. Now it's getting tricky Bob

You could back a team to be relegated and also back them in a game as a 'trade'. If for instance winning the game wouldn't be likely to save them (game win pays out but releg doesn't drift) but losing the game would mean they're in trouble (game bet loss and releg shortens). Throw in the CS and OU markets too and a 'trade' gets a lot fuzzier.
That's why I prefer 'trade' as an activity, ie having the ability to buy or sell, rather the name for pairs of opens & closes or even being limited to the same market or selection.
If it had been an exam question my answer would have probably scraped an 'A' '' However, your answer would have been given 'A*'. Your detailed answers much appreciatedShaunWhite wrote: ↑Sun Jul 16, 2023 2:52 amNow it's getting tricky Bob![]()
