Let's say the odds on a horse stand on 4.3 and I want to back that horse when the odds reaches to 2.2
How can I do that the site will keep the bet only when it reaches the desired odds so he back ... Like you can do with the lay odds

i have a small problem and cant figure what im doing wrong ?
i want to lay a horse at at current lay price of 11 ,ok so i do that ,
now i want to put a back bet in at say 1.9 ,incase its coming to win.but when i try to place the back bet at 1,9 it gets placed at the current back price of say 10/1 ....ive tried it with and without global settings it wont work,i want to keep it in play ??

Hi Marc, you're mean't to be backing at 11 and laying at 1.9 just incase your selection gets pipped at the post. Anyhow the fastest route to do as you requested (back at 1.9) is using automation.
On the menu bar select Settings > Edit Settings > Automation
you then use the Back Automation Rules something like >=1.01 <= 3 WOM <= 100 and the last box 1.9. Save it.
For each race you then select Automation between Ladder and Charting and choose the selections you want the rules to apply to AFTER the race has started (otherwise they get reset).
Don't put too much money on though!!! With time delays etc your bet may well be left sitting unmatched when the horse crosses the line. Best forget the idea really.

NO..im actually laying some horses,but want to cut down on the money loss if they hit 1.9-1.6 on the back side,
just an idea i have,
im useless with the automation and excell ,but have bought excel for dummies and plan to spend the dark cold winter mights learning it,
if i could do it manually and then just KEEP ,,that would work for me , i thought there was a way to do it,i cant figure out why i cant just place it on the ladder and leave it there without it jumping to the curent back price ?Thanks for your help.ill just have to do it manually for now,

I know what you mean, something that sits in the background and runs without you having to keep fiddling with it. There must be something about that does that. Let me know if you don't get sorted in a week or two and I'll put something together for you.

i know i can go on betfair site and put in the back bet where i want it ,im given the oportunity there to just keep it in play at the requested price.
but i cant do it on BA ,just feel like im missing something simple.
