That's good to know. There was a Bulgarian A League match on 5 seconds when it's usually 12. Hard to know if they have different criteria for matches within the same league or if a change is on it's way.

Frustrating night for me. Juicy free bet on over 1.5 in one of the Brazilian matches, opened one more trade, put in my close where money was available and was literally a quarter of a second away from the bet hitting the market when it suspended for the goal I was waiting for. :x :x
I've added a custom column in Guardian to display the bet delay saves dropping a bet 10 ticks down for the prices to check the the bet delay after KO
Does it work prematch or do you have to wait for the match to start to get a figure? I've noticed Excel draws a blank until the match starts.
Comes up as soon as the macth kicks off just saves me opening a window up. See the 12s, delete out of Guardian and ignore the match.

I've contacted Betfair but all I got was "it's all we can offer on these markets" It'd be better if they could give the reason why. Suppose like you and me most people just walk away from the markets as soon as they 12s delay.

24s to get an open and closing trade through a market is no good to anyone.

Cancellations are instant so a strategy that cancels offers rather than placing them might be better. It's why you see money vanish when anything happens before people can take it. If you can't beat them join them.

But re the x seconds delays.... Does anyone have any idea of the delay on the football video feeds from different countries?

If you successfully manage to open a trade on the O/U market, closing/cancelling/moving down is great fun. The problem is opening a trade in the first place in a 12-second market without giving too much away.

I utilise that strategy just not on 12s delay markets. I'll leave the people with faster pics or at the games to scarp them markets out.

Pic speed vary but not by country. Women's World Cup for example ITV and BBC both have had delays of between 12s & 22s on games, Betfair Swedish streams between 6s-12s.

I've looked at getting fast pics but it's expensive to do it properly, satellite dish BISS keys etc

Let others spend money on fast pics, cancel their bets before a possible goal, and they're basically alerting you to respond. :)

I bumped into him once in Solihull.
Nothing starry about him at all, if I hadn't been a footy fan I could have walked past him without an inkling that this was once the most expensive footballer.
But my abiding memory of him is that flying header in European Cup Final for Forest.

RIP indeed.

Napoli was trading at 1.15 prematch. Backed under 3.5 before the flipping suspend monkey buggered off but look likely to get away with it.
