Hi all, I am trying to find a very simple Back to Lay (horse racing) Auto file, I can download and put into Guardian, so I can see what options there are in the hope I can make it work. I was hoping I could eventually be able to set it up so when I get a Back bet matched I could set the Lay bet up to be filled at a certain odds by Guardian. Any help would be appreciated, Hope this makes sense. Willbill
Sorry I have confused myself. What I am trying to achieve is a simple way,in guardian I can manually select a racecourse, start time, horse and place Back bet but get guardian to place a stop loss on the Back bet if it drifts more than a set % and place a lay Bet at a certain price, pre or post start. It will give me something to start work with. Thanks Willbill

Just to clarify you want to manually place the back bets but use an automation rule to green up if the price moves 'X' ticks against that bet at anytime thereafter?

Or do you want a full automation file as the title of the topic states?

Hi I'm sorry about the title, I realised my mistake after I had posted. I don't want to green up. I wanted to do a partial manual/auto bet.
By manually selecting a horse in a race to back and placing the back Bet at the same time set up Guardian to activate a stop loss if it drifted to certain odds level and place a lay bet at a certain odds if matched pre and in race. No greening at the moment. If that makes sense. Thanks Willbill

The easiest way to do that is to have an automation file applied to the markets in Guardian to close the trade
and use a Servant to place the initial back bet

There are some example rules already available to download that do this. The following needs to be imported into your Servant Manager window
Back Bet with Stop.baf
Import.JPG
I'd suggest starting the Servant via one of the 'Shortcut' combinations (explained in option 1 on this page of the User Guide)
https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/sta ... vants.html

The percentage the stop bet needs to trigger at can be configured on the Stored Value tab (its currently set at 10%)

The following file can be imported into Guardian and applied to all the markets in the usual way
Stop Bet (for opening back bets).baf
Guardian Import.jpg

Finally to import or use either of these files you'll need to be using the latest version of Bet Angel V1.61 which can be downloaded from here

Morning, I have downloaded the file, Back Bet with Stop into Servant manager and File, Stop Bet (for opening back bets) into Guardian. I have tread the rules in both of these and with my very, very knowledge I cannot see how I can adjust them to fit my needs. What I would like to achieve in Guardian is,
1. Place a Back bet on a specific horse and the then price with a stop loss.
2, When matched (if not cancel)
3, Place a Lay bet at specified stake and odds and keep open in race.
This is just the bones but it will give me something to work with. Any help in setting this up would be appreciated as I am stuck. Thanks WillBill

I asked above if you could clarify if you wanted to manually place the back bet or use automation as per the topic title

To which you replied

So I posted the rules file to do that

Now you've said you want to use automation and have the back bet placed by Guardian

Thank you, I am sorry for the confusion, it's all down to lack of experience with Bet Angle and house racing combined, but I am getting there, slowly I agree but get there I will! Thanks again

Morning, I am still working with the Back Bet + Lay with S/Loss in guardian and have made it work to some degree but I need to test it now. I am still in practice mode. What I am trying to achieve is where I can place Back Bet + Lay with S/Loss in guardian on different horses in different races but at different Stakes, (I am doing this manually now) without having to change the stake in the settings for each race.
? Is it possible to set Back Bet + Lay with S/Loss in guardian so I have more that one in guardian with different stake values pre set.
Hope this makes sense. Many thanks Willbill

In order to use different stakes in a Guardian automation rule you need to tell it how to decide which stake it is to use
ie, how do you manually decide which stake size to use?

Sorry for delay, been away. I am not sure that I need to have different stake sizes now as it seems to complicated. My biggest problem is still the stop Loss auto setting. The Back and Lay settings seem to be working, I am still adjusting the Lay % to get the most matched each day, not doing to bad there. The killer at the moment is I can't set the Stop Loss up.
The principle I have been reading about is to trade out of the bet for a stop loss by watching to see if any of your Back bets are drifting and should it drift to near a % of the Back bet odds, place another Lay bet slightly greater than the current price to take you out of the trade, thus reducing the loss of capital. this seems logical but requires it to be done manually. Its the manual side which is my problem I have time in the early mornings to set everything up but no time to keep looking at it in the day.
I was hoping I could set Bet angle up to place the second Lay Bet should the Back price Drift to a pre set % of the Back odds to take me out of that trade completely before I loose my entire stake.
I am sorry if I am not explaining this very well, it is just lack of experience.
Many thanks WillBill

To exit a trade if it goes against you just requires a 'Close trade on selection' (with or without greening) rule, or 'green all selections'' rule (if trading just one runner it doesn't really matter which you use)
Using a 'Close trade on selection' rule allows you to place the bet several ticks aways from the current price bet

You can then use conditions to decide when it triggers, ie, if your loss amount reaches a specified amount
viewtopic.php?f=47&t=11488

Or if the price moves 'X' ticks or '%' from your opening bet or average entry price if placing several bets at different odds
