I feel slightly sorry for Arsenal, United have given them a really good working over. I think it's time for Mr. Wenger to open his eyes and actually see something for a change.
City seem to have layed out a mark as well, mind you they should be able to after spending a lot of dosh makes the coming months interesting don't you think.

At first glance it looks to me like the premiership is already decided. The title will go to Manchester. Even if other teams can compete the rivalry between the two Manchester sides will drive them to greater heights. Can't wait for the first derby match.
Awesome results by both teams today.

I wouldn't write off Chelsea's chances. If Villas-Boas can get his players to play to their potential, they could be a force to be reckoned with.
And Liverpool could also be a contender, now that Dalglish has turned things around.
Arsenal could be the dark horse. If Wenger can get the team to pull together, and buy in some decent talent, then he might be able to make a serious challenge. At 32.0 for the title, they're possibly good value.

To put things into perspective. We went back to the 93/94 season (7004 matches) and only found these matches that were similar.
Tottenham vs. Wigan 9-1
Chelsea vs. Wigan 8-0
Middlesbrough vs. Man City 8-1
Newcastle vs. Sheffield Weds 8-0
Man United vs. Ipswich 9-0
Quite a few 5+ goal away wins, but mainly strong against very weak teams.

Utd will be champions again this year imo, they won it last year without playing particularly well and this time they look the best ive seen in a long long time.
City will crumble at some point im sure and as is clear from the community shield and other resent results they are very unlikely to come out on top of the derbys.
Chelsea are more likely ot be a threat that City imo.

That's nice that you think Arsenal are good. However, look at the table - they are only one place off the relegation spots...Bet Angel wrote:To put things into perspective. We went back to the 93/94 season (7004 matches) and only found these matches that were similar.

Also, 25 Feb 2001 Manchester Utd 6-1 Arsenal. (they also conceded 3 at Southampton!!! that season

Final Table 2001.
1st. Man.Utd 80pts
2nd. Arsenal 70pts
Basically, individual games are just that. The following season Arsenal did NOT lose a game away from home...
Final Table 2002.
1st. Arsenal 87pts
2nd. Liverpool 80pts
3rd. Man.Utd 77pts
This could be the inspiration to a fantastic season for Arsenal.

Don't be surprised if Manchester United finish fourth or fifth.
