Western armour struggles against Russian defences as Ukranian invaders attack with it

Where is the logic in calling Ukrainians invaders of their own country? Surely the pinnacle of stupidity, even by your standards.

This is beyond staggering. The Putin regime are using crude propaganda to warp young minds. Ever seen that before?

"Russia’s new schoolbook aims to justify war on Ukraine"

I may have missed it but perhaps "Hail Putin!" is next.

I'd like to think Russian children aren't stupid and will see through the lies. In fact, even American children probably aren't stupid, it's just 48% of the adults that are Trump lunatics. :)

But Russian children won't see through the lies. That's the whole point of propaganda. It's just the next level of despicable projection of the Putinesque ego.

It's aimed at 17–18-year-olds. They have social media, relatives that haven't come back from the war, internet, etc.

Good point about age. I missed that essential detail. But nontheless it's propaganda. Justifying the unjustifiable. If you read that drivel you need some kind of mental cleansing afterwards.

It's not about propoganda-carrot, guys. It's about moneh-carrot and stick: for young provincial dude it's nice money per month, education benefits and huge sum (enough to buy some real property) for his family if he dies. No dirving license, no traveling abroad and huge fine or jail if he refuses to serve.

Thousands already fled rather than serve. If they can do it then so can others.

And don’t forget 30,000 or so in uniform went missing in March 2022 from the military convoy designed to take Kiev in 48 hours.

Therefore, I say those joining up now only have themselves to blame and deserve to be turned into kebab meat.

I won’t lose any sleep over it or change my views. I have a nice recipe for homemade napalm which have sent to friend serving for Ukraine. And I won’t lose any sleep over that either.

For me this is the most sad development. It confirms that Putin and his cronies are manipulating truth. The West couln't give a flyig F**k about Russian resources. We are traders.
It's Putin that is rebuilding the Iron Curtain, it's Putin that has prompted Western companies to leave Russia.
It's Putin that is a divisive and toxic influence on the world stage - not the UN, not NATO, not the USA - only Putin.
And it could so easily be so different, so good. But Putin has chosen bad to suit his ego. Sure if Trump somehow gets re-elected then we will have two superegos running 2 superpower countries. Sheesh, we are so stupid, or am I wrong?

Not wrong.

The world is changing:

- Putin wants the former Soviet Untion back or worse.
- China wants Taiwan.
- USA cant decide what it wants but could end up at war with itself.
- UK destroying itself.
- Europe could be forced into a war it doesnt want if Ukraine conflict spreads to Poland or elsewhere.
- Amazon rain forest being destroyed by illegal logging and countries turning a blind eye to back handers and fraud.
- Climate catastrophe.

Take your pick, none of them look good.

How did we get here ?

Someone's had more than enough dose of his daily BBC propaganda.

Maybe if you give up your car and stay in your 15 minute city it at least might solve the global warming catastrophe currently happening in the UK?

TBH the demonising of China smacks of the US 60's paranoia about "reds under the bed". It's a constructed distraction. China may well go into Taiwan, but that's the extent of their ambition I think. They see Taiwan as their territory, like Tibet or Hong Kong.
The big difference between Russia and China now is we can trade with China while not trusting them completely.
With Russia we now know that Putin is a fascist dictator that can't be reasoned with. He uses violence and assasination and imprisonment of political opponents via kangeroo courts as his MO.

Also. The UK will come to it's senses sooner or later.

Your other points are too lengthy to discuss. I only picked on the above two as my top priorities. ButI guess I should have gone for climate change, the rest is trivial nonsense really.
