Always thought this chronic complaining was like a running gag
But hard to tell anymore
If so it's a gag that now includes everyone from Tesco staff to call centres. I just hope the bits about abusing people at utility companies was 'dark humour' though. Kicking some unfortunate minimum wager for kicks wouldn't be very nice, but generally I think he's a kind hearted guy so I think that bit was made up.
It wasn't for kicks, it was out of pure anger. They may be near the minimum wage but they talk down to you as though they're the CEO.
When I tell someone I've already told ten of your colleagues and they say, well, you haven't told me, of course I'm gonna lose my rag. If they take up a job answering calls without having the brains to realise nobody's willing to repeat the same story each time they call, they deserve all the abuse they get.
They are after all demanding money off people who owe them nothing. Do that on the street and you're likely to get more than abuse, but each call is recorded for training and quality purposes so they can learn what triggers abuse and adapt.
