Greening up on the horses

Hi Guys

I am relatively new to trading but have come up with a system on the horses that seems to make a steady risk free profit of £5 - £10 a race.
My problem is, sometimes in a race my green figure can go to £10 profit and not be bouncing that much. If i click on it to trade out and take a profit sometimes it will green up at £1 - £2. Other times it will trade out for £10. Other times it will green up at £4.
Any ideas why this could happen?

I infer from your post that you are greening up in running? That means the odds are changing quickly and you will be matched at differing odds. If your green up amount is less than £2 then this error will be compounded as Bet Angel has to submit multiple bets to get around the £2 minimum bet.

Thanks for your reply. You are correct as regards to me greening up in play. In approx 95% of races the trade profit never touches the red. One example yesterday was in one race the green up figure never budged from between £8-£9. I greened up at £9 but once all bets were closed (2 secs max) the green figure was £1.50.
I assumed that the green profit you click on represents the current odds of the market and therefore within reason (unless its a volatile market) which ever figure i decide to green up at would be the approx figure i should expect to receive?

A long time ago, I had same problem . Well, its all said in previous reply, why that is happend. My suggestion is : if you trade for example 3 horces in play. And if you wanna to "green" all of them, dont click "all green" , you can first greening them separetely , and on the End, you turn on "all green" option and click to green up all horces. In that way you have bigger chances to hunt better prices on each horce. Or, you should try to make some own boot in Excel for your strategy and to predefine that green up problem ...

Another method you can try is to preset a green amount and only go manual if things change.

For example, you preset £9 and place the order via the trade profit calculator. Let's assume things don't work out and £4 seems to be a safe figure, then you could manually green up.

I have used that method in the past.
