I didn't take a day off trading to sit under these clouds. Never mind, in only the time it takes to have a flipping baby, nice weather may return.

Sorry your weather isn't pleasing you. But that skyscape is great and must be some compensation?

Why oh why is Lucy Letby on the BBC webpage still? I'm fed up of her image and story. It's just mawkish to keep wittering on about a terrible episode that has been dealt with.

It's only yesterday when she was sentenced and now the big story is criminals being dragged to court to hear their sentencing and the nature of the inquiry into the deaths, so it's bound to continue for a while yet.

How can a warm white LED cost 50% more than a cool white, same brand, wattage, everything?

Media outlets now rank traffic and clicks ahead of balanced reporting of the news. Coverage and ranking of stories depends on clicks - she will remain the headline until people are clicking more on something else.

I'm purchasing Windows 11 Pro, it took me two minutes to find the proceed to payment button. I was scrolling up and down the screen looking of it. What a stupid length for a button!

When I first started using PCs, I wrote a small program in MS-BASIC, saved it to 5.25" floppy disk, saved it to a backup disk and printed it in case the floppies get corrupt.

40 years later, with all the high-speed, high-tech cloud storage technology we have today, the police keep losing vital case data and have no backup.

So annoying when I say, a man was killed, and my grammar checker screams, passive voice! Say who killed him!

How the fuck do I know who killed him?

Microsoft does that all the time. Word and PowerPoint tests my patience. They don't approve of additional descriptive words.....it's fairly difficult, it was pretty quiet, instead of actually moving there - they always try to get them removed.

I'm pretty sure there's a check box for that on the grammar checker settings, there's definately one for checking passive sentances so it'll be there if its anywhere.

I don't know what's gone wrong with Microsoft Editor (which is supposed to integrate with your Office dictionary), but it's now permanently underlining the last word I write, it doesn't even give me a chance to add a period!

I know you can still see warm days deep into October but for me September 1st always marks the end of the summer. and that is happening very soon.

The thing about warm September/October days is that you go down the pub in tee-shirt and shorts enjoying summer temperatures, but after 18:00 the sun's on the horizon, by 22:00 it feels like winter and you're stuck in a pub in summer clothes.
